You don't think he was running well in 2022? That's the year of his last Knoxville Nationals win, when Rick Warner's driver Rico finished 13th in the A and Cory Eliason finished 15th in the B.

Rico looks like Rico has always looked and Schatz looks like a racer in his twilight years having his last hurrah.  Next thing you know, someone will try to tell me the only reason Larson's car came to the front the last three nights is because Silva was wrenching on it.  Doesn't hurt, but Larson is the reason that car came all the way to the front.  The reason RW has all of those Nats on his resume is because Donny was in the seat of the car he wrenched on.  I'm not really sure how this isn't obvious by now to everyone.  Rico could very well win the Nats this year----he's always been good there.  He's always been very good there.  If RW pulls off another win as a car chief, it's because he earned the right to work with the best drivers.  Rico is very good.  Let's not pretend RW is gonna draw a name from a hat and make their career explode.

While we're on the subject of obvious, how good are Rico's odds of toppling Cory Eliason during the Nationals this year?  Since he's equal to, or even better than Donny, I'm assuming that's who Rico and RW have their eyes on.

Yes but,

The only reason Steve Kinser won all those Knoxville National titles was because Karl was wrenching on his car. I mean, Steve had more Knoxville titles with Karl than he did with Scott Gerkin. Fact! The stats show it. (Am I doing this right?)

Karl also won with Dick Gaines and Mark, but who knows they were all great

There's no point in discussing anything with you, you just keep repeating the same tired points. I read a long time ago to never argue with an idiot because then you will have two idiots, I will try to remember that when post your same old bullshit.

Why is it so hard to realize two people who are great at what they do created a great team when they work together.  They have their own strengths and perhaps we overlook their team skills of making others perform better. Who really cares who is better or best and why does it matter?

Ah, the voice of reason from North of the Border.... ;)

Its pretty obvious that a great team needs a great driver AND a great crew chief.... Ricky didn't MAKE Schatz great, they were great together. Same with Rico...

Now that I opened a can of worms with all the expected reactions, I still think the Ford engine has a lot to do with his "less than dominating" last few years, but he's still #2 in WoO points last I looked (& I'm a "Ford guy" in "real life"....)

Get ready for blah blah blah or you can't handle the truth same old  shit different day. The engine change had a lot to do with it and I'm sure his father getting sick and eventually passing was also a factor. But the fact is neither has had the same success as when they were a team.

Ha ha ha. That's an incredible stretch of ignorance you're working with there. That's like saying a football team had apoor year because the Sulerbowl they won was only a weekend.

There are literally hundreds of race teams that dream of having a season like that. ;)

He always wants to talk shit about Donny, but how many championships does Ricky have without Don Don.  Zero.  Rico hasn't been exactly dominate either.  They are both great, but together they where unstoppable.

Yup.  If you look at Rico's record, it's virtually identical to his entire career body of work.  He's an excellent driver who will win some races during the year.  Is this year 2 or 3 with Ricky?  Not much has changed.  He's still a guy to beat, and he's still a threat to win the Nats.  If they win the Nats, the main reason will be Rico has always been tough at Knoxville, and if you keep making the A-main at the Nats, and you consistently run towards the front, eventually your odds of winning that race increase.  The majorty of the wins have come without RW.  The majority of the time he's run up front were without RW.  And hey, Rico is a great driver, with great equipment.  Why wouldn't you hire one of the great wrenches?  All of the top teams have them.  But constantly claiming RW will make or break the drivers career?  Give me a break.  If Ricky left this morning and never came back, Rico would continue to win at the same clip with whoever grabbed the wrench.

At 5:26 yesterday you said: "Ricky made Schatz 100% better when he was his crew chief"

What happened in the last 28 hrs. & 50 minutes that increased Ricky's value by another 99% ???

Did you realize that you couldn't handle the truth back in the good ole days?.... like yesterday?  ;)
