I think its because some nascar fans are irritatingly stupid and obnoxious. Arrogant ignorance is the worst quality someone can have and some who watch nascar regularly have that going for them.

You could replace the word "nascar" and install "world of outlaw" in your first sentence, probably the second too. They can be quite the turn off.

Um, you can actually replace "nascar" with any other sport or team name: Posse would also make both statements accurate. As would Patriots, Dodgers, Yankees, Cowboys, Alabama, Ohio State, Blackhawks, Bruins........................................................................

Touche' . Excuse my french, but we talk about racing and track prep and posse vs. outlaw, and posse against the universe. Dusty races, tracks that are too fast or too slow, and how anyone should be able to prep a track its just dirt. Once in a while we actually comment / bitch about a race we may have seen or not, doesn't matter if we were there cause we know sprint car racing as well as beer drinking and freakin track prep. This is about which drivers can't wheel it anymore and a reason to bash them, and yeah, some of that is because of track prep. Who do you think you are coming on a message board and voicing your opinion on ball and stick sports. BTW you forgot philadelphia fans.

For sure there are marks for every sport or team. Lets face it though, there are a lot more Nascar fans and some of them are a special kind of stupid.
