What do they do if the top 2 cars are swapping the lead every lap? Wait for cars to run out of fuel?

Think it's pretty simple to fix this. Throw the yellow when the leader crosses after completing their 25th lap.
Make it clear this is the plan. No one can complain at that point because there is no human consideration - it's a black and white situation.

I understand what you're saying but think there should be a little room for adjustment, for instance, what if a yellow comes out naturally on lap 24? Do you do a restart for 1 lap? Thats the only reason I see though.

The Trophy Cup races 50 laps for the Saturday main and has a fuel stop. The stop is not predetermined other than somewhere in the 20-30 range normally. It is done when there is a yellow or red already thrown, not just for fuel. If the main ran nonstop from the beginning into the 30s for lap count then at some point a yellow just for fuel would be needed, but there is little chance of that happening.

One question for all those "put a bigger tank on em" is this. Does Hoosier make a tire that will live that long? Seen some pics of some pretty used up tires after 20 laps. With all the safety measures put in place do you want to see tires blowing on these cars with alot more fuel on the back of the car? Wonder what the drivers think?

I doubt any driver was trying to save a tire k owjng they get a new one half way through.
What do Silver crown cars run for tires jn their 100 lap races.
And did the $1000 lap money make any driver try to lead opposed to settle at 2nd and pace themselves for a lap lap effort this year? Donny seemed to turn it o. At the end so the $1000 didnt motivate imo.

Then make it a 1 night show cause all the teams who know they have no shot to win will not show up & spend money for a fuel cell they will use once a year. Or have left over rock hard tires they can't use till next August.
