i would like to see the outlaws make another visit to lincoln and/or port.  the gettysburg clash is the best show of the year and the nittany showdown seems too late in the year.  some of us are on to football by the middle of october.

you might find people pass on the grove events if they can see the outlaws elsewhere.  as long as people keep turning out the way they are...there's no reason for the grove to make any changes or the outlaws to put pressure on them to do anything.

port has been smart in making themselves the home base for the all stars.  their two biggest shows are all start sanctioned now (i'm thinking of the 50 and weikert memorial).  i went to my first tuscarora 50 last year and the atmosphere rivaled or even surpassed the open.  you're not getting sweet and schatz...but tony stewart and tyler courtney isn't too bad.  i could imagine a day where the 50 is the knoxville nationals of the east...more so than the national open.

I agree. Tusky 50 is more entertaining than National Open nowadays

More competitive.... not many Posse teams have much of a chance vs. WoO , other than 69K

I was wondering if Brent marks is doing better Against The Outlaws than he did when he was an outlaw? Any comments as to why? Also I noticed they had 18 or 19 cars in the b-main but didn't have a c main. Why would they do that?

Brent actually did pretty well on the Outlaw tour in terms of continous improvement. Yes if you compare the stats of this year versus 18' & 19" I am sure his average is up but I would argue also that it was because of racing to that standard night in and night out that he has gotten to this point. He was always a driver that seemed to move up through the field as each year I think he was the top driver in positions gained.  The biggest issue he had was qualifying and it still is somewhat of an issue. I felt he had something going in the family 19car and was somewhat shocked at the news last year that he was aligning with CJB to run a true Outlaw schedule as I thought he would be able to increase his win and top5 totals in 20'. If he continues the success and has the funding it might be wise to back on tour full time in 2022.

There are several races more entertaining than the National Open, but none bigger on the east "coast" or whatever you call PA.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence when someone else is paying the bills.....At least for a while.

Racers want to win, that is the bottom line.

In Bruce's defense, when Lance is within 6 or 7 car lengths going into turn 3 at Williams Grove, he is "right there". His turn 3 sliders from downtown Dillsburg are his finishing move and many of his 99 wins (soon to be 100) came as a result of that move. No one on earth is better in turn 3 than Lance. I was very impress that Carson knew what to do to take that move away and hold on to the win on Friday night. He drove a hell of a race.

Exactly! I'd say it was Moody who took that move away though, blocking the bottom the last 10 laps or LD would have been able to pull it on Macedo too. Unfortunately those turn 3 sliders are about the only way to pass at WG anynore. Time to cut down those long, strung out, single-file straights and update this dinosaur track into a racey 3/8's.
