iRacing. Ugh. I wish there was an easier way to get the whole package, everything you need to do it right, for $1000-$1500. I also wish it all came packaged together. Maybe it does now, but when I looked couple years ago it seemed like you need to be some geek squad tech expert to get it all put together and rigged up. I'm more an unbox it, plug it in and play it type of guy. I'm not looking to buy 5 different parts from 5 different places and piece it all together. Am I missing something?

I played DTR1, DTR2, Late Model and Sprint car games on the PC. Fun games, but I also think those games are a thing of the past, unfortunately.

Could someone please direct me to the best place to find the DTR1 and DTR2 games? It has to be rather technoligically simple for this old man.

I love how iRacing goes out of their way to not call it a video game. I've never played it or really seen it, but I'm pretty sure it's not reality and therefore not really racing. And therefore in my mind it's a video game.
Don't even get me started on these new terms e-athlete and e-sports. They are people playing video games, they are not athletes and video games are not sports.
That said, I used to enjoy Ratbag's rendition of sprint car racing on my Dad's PS2 on occasion. They could've made the game more realistic by having a little, digital, drunk Tyler Walker running around after races cussing and fighting with everybody. CRAZY.
