Why doesn't Eagle have bigger shows? It's known as a great track, it has 2 decent sized cities nearby. You'd think it would be a place where big shows could do well.

For years Eagle's bread and butter has been its weekly show.  It draws more fans and cars than any other track in the area.  But special events haven't always been supported as well because the weekly show is so good - that's the perception anyway.

Contrast that with I-80 Speedway, who most likely makes their money on the many special events that dot their calendar.  The only time they get a huge crowd for a weekly show is on the nights with free grandstand tickets.

First, this would be a very high price for Eagle given the land and the area around it.  Great racetrack but also away from a majority of the areas.

Second, for anyone who thinks Roger Hadan is hard up for cash and is being forced to sell, that is just hilarious.  There is a good chunk of family money and Roger has made good money at both the track and other business.  He would be willing to sell at the right price, but this is just a way to put pressure on the Nebraska governor.

Husets- 9.4(Was offered for 5.8?)

Eagle-3.9

Deer Creek-2.59

I-55--1.6

Racetracks are getting more valuable every day!  Of course none of them have actually sold....

I think Deer Creek is a good value.  Southern Minnesota near I90, not far from Rochester where there are malls and things to do during the day.  Overnight camping and established big shows including the Gopher 50 and their fall Modified races.  It's not known as a Sprint Car track and only has been having a few specials but it's an established track with some big multi day shows and on site camping makes a huge difference in being able to hold those kinds of events.

Eagle used to get the Outlaws to come by once a year, way back 2 times a year. Crowds were huge. I cant explain what happened, changing times is likely the main reason. But on the other hand COVID changing times could bring the game back around to racetrack venues. Enclosed arenas may take years to get back to packed houses. It used to take me 20 mins to get out of the parking area on those big shows if you stay for the end of the A. I have never taken more than 5-7 mins to get home from my seat the past 10 years. (Excluding the free admission family night, I dont go on that night) But yes, $3.9M wont cash flow if you are financing it. Family $ can make anything a lot easier in that regard though.
