Thank you guys for all the information. I tried to count how many races were on the schedule but it doesn't copy and paste nice into excel. I think it comes to 239 different event that are included just in racing alone. And some of those 239 are multiple day events! With bowling and some hockey thrown in I don't see how I can't do this. Lots of IRA shows and weekly shows from various tracks as well. Ohio and Indiana sprint weeks. I'm in.

Well that's okay if you don't want to see any WoO races.  I'll happily enjoy WoO Late Models and sprint cars with my Fast Pass and enjoy the All-Stars on FloRacing.  Good times.

Exactly! What a time to be a fan of dirt racing. With the deals both providers are offering I don't see why you have to choose just one. Obviously you'll have your rainouts but as of now 86 nights of sprints and 56 nights of lates are scheduled for WoO on DV. Thats $351 (9mos x $39) to watch 142 races. $2.47 per race is still an insane deal even if its not as cheap as FLO. I just keep thinking how for me to drive to Attica, Fremont, Wayne Co, etc. for an All Star show it easily costs me $50-60+ in admission, concessions, and fuel. Then I have no problem paying for DV and FLO.

Great breakdown, it is affordable for a lot of people to do both. Especially with how the vault option works when you can watch the older races. I typically cancel dirtvision in the months of March & April because those west coast races are hard for me to stay up and watch live plus the rainouts. Usually I will re-up after the Letsracetwo at Eldora so now I can take the money that I normally would watch those races and watch the Flo racing events.

I'll still drive to Attica, Wayne Co, Eldora and various tracks for those All Star & Outlaw races as nothing beats watching it live. Both options are great values so you can watch all of the events that anyone is not able to make. Still will probably make 25-30 Outlaw & All Star shows but if something comes up, its great to have this option.

I'm probably going to be signing up for FloRacing as I think the new deal with Eldora and the All Stars plus the existing deal they had with USAC is too good to pass up.  But there are two things that bother me.

1. Whenever there is a Dirtvision/FloRacing conflict then I won't be able to watch that race.  So even though the advertisements say "every race" that's not exactly true.  Last year USAC's Corn Belt Nationals at Knoxville was almost completely blacked out.  I would imagine the same will happen this year, along with the All Star show at Knoxville.  Same for when the Outlaws are at Eldora this year.  I don't expect those races to be available on FloRacing.

2. Last year some of the MAVTV races for the All Stars were blacked out as well.  I would anticipate that to be true again in 2020.

My point is, if it's not truly going to be EVERY race broadcast on your particular network then don't advertise it that way!  Be honest about it up front and most people will be less ticked off when the black out actually happens.  Will this keep me from buying?  I doubt it, but I'll still be salty about it when it happens.  Corporate mumbo-jumbo getting in the way of what's good for the fans.

All IRA points races have now been added to Floracing as well for 2020. Their price is absolutely unbeatable

All I can say is I hope tracks get a cut of it, and don't stop going to the race track!

Unless something changed, tracks are not getting a cut of it. During the Nationals I went to one of the panels that had 3 different promoters throughout the country and this was something that was brought up. One of them stated at first he was completely against it and thought it was B.S when it first started. But now he sees the benefit of it and how it actually might be helping tracks as he has noticed a lot of first time & distance travelers coming to the track now because they have seen races on dirtvision, cushion, speedshift, even Youtube highlights. Others have said that they thought this would hurt them but they have not seen a negative impact because of it.

Personally, I am not going to give up an opportunity to go to the track just to watch it on T.V. Granted I have to drive 1.5-2hrs in order to go to a race but you do not get the same feel watching sprint car racing on T.V versus at the track. I would say as long as the tracks keep the tickets affordable, which a majority of them are probably the best value in any sports market, the racing is good, and the program runs efficently then people will continue to go. If it becomes like Nascar became where parking is terrible, race starts at 3 instead of 1, your cramped in, and there is nothing but single file racing then there might be a problem.

I might be a hypocrite but at least I'm a happy hypocrite.   Thanks to this discussion I pulled the plug and got Floracing for the year at the $150 price point.  Yeah, I'm the guy who was bitching about my failed cancelation attempt and five months of billing I wasn't aware I had.  I swore I'd do without racing PPV after that blunder but in the last few weeks I have gotten MAVTV through Tikilive, Floracing and I even got CBS All Access for Star Trek Picard as frosting on the cake.

Contrary to popular opinion I don't mind spending my money and with All Stars, IRA, USAC, Eldora weekly and other events this is the best bargain in motorsports programming.  I'd rather follow the IRA, All Stars and USAC along with Lucas Oil Late Models on MAVTV than any other motorsports content.  There might be a few single nights of Knoxville and Jackson along with a few live races but these PPV broadcasts and not having to travel are awesome.

I appreciate the information that was provided in this thread which answered my questions and convinced me to take the plunge.  Thanks!

Can anyone share how the quality and info /chat/ interviews etc are on Flotv? Is it similar to DV where they tie into the announcer and offer replays?

I defer to what my uncle used to tell me when I was a kid and I'd rip on something.  "Listen kid, if you beat your head on a tree and it hurts why do you keep on doing it?"

If you don't like the IRA fine, don't watch them, but I'm a fan and I appreciate them for what they are.  A working man's series of weekend racers doing their best with what they have to work with.  They draw decent crowds anywhere I have seen them.  I got to know Steve and some of his guys during the years I was writing about racing and always referred to them as my favorite regional series.  Now I can watch every race on Flo and my fondness for the IRA helped make it an easy decision.

I've been watching these cars since 1960 and plenty of clubs and sanctions have come and gone and sometimes I didn't realize how good we had it until they were gone.  They all have their ups and downs and I understand IRA began as a 1960's Supermodified deal so there's an example of change from Supers to full up Sprints.

Be careful what you wish for.  Someday it might be gone.
