I never said no one complained about Port. I said there are a lot of people who are hypocrites. They'll bash anything Williams Grove does but other tracks get a pass for doing the same shit. I've seen it happen quite often.

Well that is curse of being expected to be better or stronger than most. Then people expect more of you. You can't say that the Grove hasn't been promoted as to be the best in the East. Greater expectations come with that. You can't just rest on your past successes. Fair or not that is life whether for an individule or a business.

Some dropped out of course but many didn't which means The Edge did some serious passing. Especially considering the fact that this was the National Open and every car in the field was a good car. To answer your question, Brian passed 6 cars in the last 20 laps. He's a hell of a driver. You on the otherhand, are still a whiny pain in the ass who goes through every race with a fine toothed comb looking for something to bitch about. You must be real fun at parties........

The Grove still is the most prominent track in the east. As Aaron Reutzel said, "You can't feel like you beat the posse until you beat them at Williams Grove." He's 100% right regardless of what fantasy Williams Grove haters accept as reality. It is, was and always will be the home track of the PA Posse. I didn't make the rules, I just accept things for what they are.

This is spot on. People bitched about the Grove all year but come Saturday there were people parking campers on the sides of hills because there were no spots left and the race was absolutely packed. The Grove is still a draw and the National Open is still the best atmosphere race in PA.

The National Open is still the biggest race in central Pennsylvania, and still has the best atmospehere. That also doesn't change the fact that weekly shows at the Grove are a shell of what they used to be 10 years ago -- or even five years ago.

To me, I think people "bitched" because the weekly shows there have fallen off so sharply compared to what they used to be.

I think this is also true. The Outlaw shows and PA speedweeks keep the track profitable.

I think running 2 shows a week for a few years burned track management out for a while. I think they are trying and have made things better over the last couple of years.

The security is a lot nice and being able to buy tickets online and pick them up the day of the race is a huge improvement to the fiasco they used to have.
