As much as I like late models(my 2nd favorite division), I'd have to agree. After 58 cars are done with TT's - obviously a lengthy proccess, then the LM's take the track for TT's. WTF? Why are the LM's running TT's and do we even need them here? Put that money in the 410 purse since it's so lop-sided between the 2 nights with Friday's show being only a regular 5G to win all-star purse. Of course the late hour last night wasn't really due to the LM's but mostly to all the cautions and flat tires in the sprints. I don't think 1 single event went green to checkered. The LM's put on a good show but nobody's gonna stay to watch them when it's past midnight before they even start their feature. It's not really fair to them either.

They definitely need to scrap the support division. This is the 2nd biggest sprint car race in PA. It stands well enough on its own. The late hour didn't bother me much but I took my wife with me and she isn't a diehard like me but she enjoys the occasional race. Especially the fair races at Port. She's not exactly a night owl and she at about 10:30, she hit the wall. She stuck it out until the sprint feature was over but she has now decided against attending tonight. One thing they need to realize is that on Friday, most people are there after a long day at work. Nights like last night aren't real friendly to someone who got up at 5:30 am, worked all day and then went to the races afterwards. I'm sure they didn't intend for things to run so late but I think next year, this needs to be a 1 division show. They have plenty of big shows for the late models thoughout the season as it is.Tuscarora 50 weekend should be all about sprint cars. If they do insist on running a support division, at least scrap the time trials.

Last night was the makeup for the Grit House series and a makeup for that Tri Track Challenge Series so that's why there were so many cars and time trials. Steve O ‘Neal said in the drivers meeting he was working on another date for this season yet, but couldn’t get it worked out. My guess is he was referring to a Lucas Oil makeup date.

SMH not sure what the complaint is here. I would be pissing my pants to see a show with 58 410s and 28 SLMs including many "name" drivers. Try attending a midwest "IMCA" or "USRA" show where you sit thru 8 classes of crap until midnight to see ONE good feature.
Interesting that last Friday you guys were on here bitching about the 410 count at Williams Grove and now you get a fantastic field and people are crying about a late night.
Having never been to either track I am curious for posse fans opinions on why when Port Royal has a "special event" they get gobs of cars and WG specials have weak car counts. Obviously nobody is on here saying PR has to shorten the track to get more cars, just constant whining about the track being slick.

I have some issues with the speed palace but it being the "slow palace" isn't one of them. Heat 1 just ended and it was awesome. Racing all over. Lap times - who cares. Not a standard I use to judge a race. Place is packed and atmosphere is great.
