Yeah... ...we're not talking about Port Royal here. The clay at Charlotte is different than the clay at Port, I have never seen it hold moisture throughout the night unless it was holding so much moisture that it isgoing to get rough. I know other tracks that are the same way, no happy medium. The different surfaces all react differently. If you love wet racetracks so much, why don't you move to California? Petaluma gets tackier throughout the night at least half the time.

You gotta quit throwing that nobody word around. I care about qualifying, especially watching the Outlaws and getting a chance to possibly hear a QUICKTIMEEEEEE out of Johnny G. I care about the heats, especially since in most formats your heat finish qualifies you for a redraw or a dash spot which starts you up front. You might be right about "nobody cares who wins the heats" but i can garuntee people care who finishes up front in the heats.
As far as track conditions you said "the drivers need to be able to get ahold of the track and not slip and slide all over the place." It is the crew cheif and drivers responsibilty to make thier car faster than the other 23 out there. Lets not act like you can't make adjustments on these cars to compensate for track conditions .... everyone races on the same surface, you gotta make what other people struggle with work to your advantage.

Fucking Rain Man is less consistent than you! You passed Altman and Nelligan about 50 laps ago. Congratulations! You deserve a vacation for your well earned victory.....
