I know in past Speedweeks Freddy throws a pre race shindig, live band, free burgers... is that happening this year?
|
Haven't seen much posted from the Rahmer camp yet, but I'm sure it won't be much longer. As of now, I haven't seen anything scheduled for Hammonds Grove (burgers, band, etc.).

Per a Rahmer Promotion tweet, gates will now open at 2:00 and will be a 50-lapper paying $10,000 to win!
No micro sprints...

Do the speedweed tracks in PA accept credit cards at the ticket booth on race night?

Something tells me Hagerstown does but I don't think any of the other tracks do. You may want to check on that and confirm because I always just pay with cash.

And the best 3 tracks on the schedule just got that much better. Nothing against the Posse guys but I much prefer watching guys like Rico, Bell, Larson etc. who really know how to get around a bullring. It was obvious at Path Valley last year that Larson and Rico were on a whole different level. They grew up racing tracks like that whereas the Pa guys mostly run bigger tracks and it really showed.

Totally agree! Many of the outsiders can run a 1/4 bullring better than most Posse guys. Familiarity being one of the reasons.
I thought Hodnett ran the race of his life when he beat Clauson at Path Valley two years ago. Much respect for how Greg drove that race that night!
Stevie showed his skills on this 1/4 mile in 2015 - racing with the Outlaws didn't hurt him any!!

Guess what, good news! Larson will be at Lincoln & Grandview Monday & Tuesday
I'm gonna change my plans & stick around for Monday race... too bad its not at Grandview tho, would like to do 4 different tracks (oh well, boohoo for me right? ;) )
I wonder if NWfan will have to "rechange" his plans? By the way, does that stand for "nonwing" or "northwest"?

That's awesome. He is the show anytime he straps into a sprint car. It's gonna be a good week.

I went to 3 Speedweek shows last summer & Larson won them all. Just checked Lance's schedule, he'll be at WG, Lincoln & Port. He's won 7 out of 12 so far this year, pretty amazing.... so we get Bell, Larson & The Dream Team competing several nites, should be good. Just hope everybody is safe, a bit nervous after recent tragedy
