Only 2/3 Posse in the top 10 of the biggest race. Some years it’s a lot more. But I can’t remember a year where the Posse has gotten beat as much as this year. 5 times by Outlaws, 3 times by Larson, twice by Brown. Even Lyndon Jeffrey picked a win up at Port earlier this year.

Funny isn't the word.  So let me get this correct:  A couple of years ago, when the Posse had a pretty dominating 10 or 12 races against the outlaws/travelers, you will admit it was hometrack advantage, correct?  If this is the case, this goes against most of the chest pounding that went on during that stretch.  I feel bad for the majority of the Posse fans I have encountered at the track.  They have to overcome the moronic statements made on this forum in order to seem credible.

Every analyst and expert in sprint car racing acknowledges the Posse is not up to par with the outlaws this year.  All of the chest pounding over the last few years has been outlaws vs. Posse.  So, when the outlaws hand the Posse their d!3#$ this year, you change the argument to "all of the cars that show up on the track are Posse or Posse related".  Then, when someone calls you out on that, you bring up 3 guys who run Knoxville/Jackson----not WOO.

You may have a future at the White House Press secretary the way you dodge the original questions.

By the way----4 WOO wins for Knoxville "regulars" this year.  Also, at Knoxville, Terry McCarl 2016 June WOO race.  I really don't see a lot of Posse or Knoxville regulars winning the Knoxville Nationals over the last 20 years, so that is a ridiculous statement as well.  Unless you are trying to compare the Williams Grove Open to the Nationals?  Please tell me you aren't or we will have to take your man card from you.

Posse is down this year, but still got 2 wins. Every year is differant for some reason. Maybe next year the tables will turn back in our favor. Yes, hometrack advantage is a big factor for regulars of any track. For outlaws however they have been coming to the Grove since it's enception of the group in 1978. So it's not much of an advantage. Add to that, that some of the outlaw regulars were at one time grove regulars. Add to that, that there top drivers bought Pa's top mechanics. A lot goes into problem.

Dip$hit logic

Funny after getting spanked there is still an angle.  I love it.  I don't get to see the Posse very often.  Usually just in Knoxville in August.  We call it the B-Main.

Cut these guys some slack they would have only had one posse member in the top 8 last night without claiming McFadden and wouldn't have won a single national open A qualifier either.  With as bad they've been this year the rest of us just kind of let them claim whoever they want. Can you imangine the crying here if it would have been Schatz not hodnett who won the summer nationals makeup race and never passed a single car including the heats and dash?!  Lol it would have broke hoseheads. Hopefully one day life in posse land gets better and catches up to Ohio, Knoxville, Cali and well the rest of the USA and Australia. Until then though, reliving the glory days will have to suffice.

Really?  Both Madsens have been track season champions at Knoxville. Has McFadden ever been track champion at Williams Grove?

What does track Champion have to do with it? Knoxville claims the Aussie Madsens because they race primarily at Knoxville when in the states. Just applying the same logic to Jmac. Granted he doesn't race as often but when in the states he runs primarily central Pa. Not a big deal, but I don't see any difference.

Why? Bruce Ellis is very knowledgable of sprint car racing and does a great job announcing.

Here is one example, watch the hilites of the Saturday night race, Johnny starts commentating on the start and Bruce jumps right in and goes with it. It's as if it's a contest.

Bruce saying something wrong, Johnny correcting him and Bruce being annoyed is one of the highlights of any Outlaw show at the Grove.

I do get the faithful fan thing but really guys???

If my neighbor is better than your neighbour you and I are still just the same people we are with or without neighbors. Should I really take any pride in the fact that someone who lives close to me makes me a better person? Why not do something on your own to make yourself news worthy.

Even though I may not know you, I

The difference between the Madsens and J Mac is that the Madsens happen to live In the United States and have their own houses.

Would it be possible for Johnny Gibson, and only Johnny Gibson, announce WoO races at Williams Grove, like at 97% of the other WoO sanctioned events.

why?

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

Madsens have both raced the entire Knoxville schedule multiple years. That's why they are considered Knoxville regulars. McFadden doesn't run all the WG shows when in the states. Nor comes over with the intention of running the full WG schedule.

I am usually fine with, and participate in, the "my team is better than your team" back and forth.  However, when the thread turns into a "every 410 sprint car in the land is Posse" then it needs to be brought back down to earth a bit.  I get if you have pride in your beloved region of racing------you should.  It is AMONG the toughest in the land.   Every week, when the WOO travels to these corners of the country, we see tough regional pockets of 410's (hell an IRA guy beat em last year).  The Midwest, Central PA and California have the potential to give them a fight when they are in town.  However, this year, the outlaws have dominated to say the least.  So, when this happens, you say "they are better than us this year" and lick your wounds.  You don't suddenly claim the 15 car is Posse.  When it hits that point, it strikes a nerve.

(and I don't mean you RodinCanada--speaking in general)

LOL...yes...we stopped complaining about the low output of the backstrech paging horns...the chatter was ruining our experience.

the 3 car has been based on Posse Soil from day 1...and matter of fact, some folks from parts unknown, perhaps some  on this thread repudiated team decisions NOT to TRAVEL.

You can't have it both ways...UNTIL he turns up in an AUSSIE CAR...he remains PaAussie...sorry about your luck.

I suppose just about every driver who has driven a PA racecar is posse? Lasoski, Jimmy Sills, Jeff Swindell, T-Mac, and many others come to mind. If thats the case, I guess the posse has one every major sprint race ever held.

Does it really matter? There are many good drivers out there. Pa. Midwest Cali. Pa has some up and coming young drivers and will always challenge the outlaws or allstars. Pa drivers or call them posse if you must certainly do not have the sponsorship big names as some of your names mentioned here like Gravel or Schatz. I am a Pa fan and route for many different drivers including Saldana Schatz or McManhan. I enjoy all competition and just because a few like to start this posse crap does not mean all Pa fans agree with it. Gravel is a Pa car and i would not claim them posse nor root for them. Just my personal feeling. I also would not call Brent Marks posse although i bet some on here would. I really never got the true meaning of a posse member and i am avid 410 fan from pa.

I base a driver's association with a group or area on the car.  Through the years, I've considered Davis Jr., Wolfgang, K. Jacobs, Haudenschild, Sills, McCarl - all Weikert drivers; Dale Blaney (Zemco); J. Johnson; Tim Shaffer; etc. to be PA Posse while their primary car was a Posse car.  McFadden this year since he has ran the #3 a bit this season.

On the flip side, I considered Stevie, Shepard, Kauffman, Gobrecht (1999), L. Wolfe, Schuchart, J. Allen, etc. to be an Outlaw, All-Star, or traveler the years they weren't primarily in PA.  IMO, it's all about the car and where it runs.  The same with Hodnett - has been Posse a long time, but started as Outlaw.

I don't see any WoO wins by Knoxville regulars??????? WHERE?????? WHEN??????? None were at Knoxville. Winners were Schatz, Larson, Johnson, Sweet, Gravel. Looks like a SWEEP!
