Not trying to discredit any posters here, but Twitter is still mum on this, which is surprising given the sheer number of people involved and the penchance for people wanting to scoop stories of this type.
|
This is exactly why I keep saying in my posts "again if this is true..." I've literally seen nothing related to this. Not discounting the OP, but I haven't seen or heard anything at all about this...yet...

He is top 10 in pts. I don't know if they go with driver or car ? Only 5 month left to season you gotta wonder if he is out what he is going to do about pts situation or if he rally cares .

It's fake news/rumor until it isn't either. Currently, it's both. Unless you care to provide confirming sources?
Thanx,

Only if you have serious cash to replace equipment
|
IF this is true, Haud would be the perfect replacement through the end of the year if the team is committed to staying on tour. He'd win a race or two, and would allow the next driver (Logan?) to finish up their season with their current team to fulfill those commitments.
And, if an Outlaw team is worried about replacing equipment, especially one with a Dennis Roth and RSJ involved, then they probably shouldn't be an Outlaw team.

I am surprised the owner wouldnt put Shane Golobic in the car considering their relasionship.
|
i think Shane Golobic would be agreat choice. I assume that Roth and Shane know each other well

Moving from the Fake News/Rumor column to the "too bad it's true" column.

Thanks dsc1600. Guess it's true now.
I'm truly not a person to be a braggart so please don't take this for it (yes I understand the optics say differently), but when I resurrected a Saldana thread a week and a half ago I did said I have a feeling we'll be discussing Joey a lot the next few weeks. Guess the convo and person whom I talked with was right.

Personally I would love to see Logan in some top notch equipment to see what he could do, but that takes an outlaw off the tour and I don't see him leaving the family run team

We discussed this in another thread a few weeks ago too. I think one "bigger budget" team at least tangentially discussed this with Logan in the off season, but he was committed to Scruffy. There is going to be a point where Logan and Bobby sit down and decide they've reached the point where it's best for his development to take a "bigger" opportunity if it comes. My guess is that time will be this upcoming offseason if an offer rolls in, but who knows. He currently has the fourth most wins on the WoO tour after Schatz, Gravel and Sweet...

Exactly, I know it's pretty far fetched but I'm hoping the sharks can pick up a major sponsor or a couple big ones to give them the funding they need to really put something awesome together with the 1S car

Lasoski in the 17 wouldn't be an improvement over Joey, because both have been as good as they are going to be. I'd like to see someone new get a chance: Reutzel, Golobic or Macedo would be three deserving shoes. Brady Bacon might get a shot given sponsor/owner relationships, but I think he'd be commited to his USAC stuff first. Logan would do well but I don't ever see him leaving Shark Racing.

Just heard saldana in 82 but he was told to fasten the seat with wingnuts. The 17 car announced they are working with the 82 to find a driver but assured it could be anybody but preferrebly a driver that doesn't win.
Still love husets

Another possible choice would be Carson Macedo, I know he's driving for Joe Gaerte right now but I also know that his ultimate goal is to be a full time WOO racer. Plus he's from the same area that Roth is in central Ca. and i'm sure that Roth and possibly Wood have seen what a gasser he is when he was driving for his relatives Tarlton Motorsports out here in Ca.
