Just remember, less than 10 years ago the track was so dusty, you couldn't see if there was a pass to begin with.
Again i don't know what the expectation is except for the fact that no matter what happens it will always be better in the past than it is today.

I am not an expert on track prep or an expert on cars. However I enjoy a good competitive race. 410s seem to have become worse each year and late models have become better. If that's track prep or car rules I'm not sure. Port has the best facilities around but I go the races for the races not the facilities.

Exactly my sentiments. Surprised a certain "wannabe track manager" hasn't chimed in about all the improved facilities
But I'm still gonna give Port a chance, haven't been yet (1600 miles away during school year)
If my memory serves me well (gets worse every year), WG races were follow the leader early in the season (last year) & got more competitive as summer wore on....

Easy Rev, if you say his name three times, he magically appears like Bettlejuice.....
My opinion on Port is that on almost every night, even if there are hardly any lead changes, there's always one or two cars making their way up through the field. I usually then lock on those guys and just occasionally glance to see if any ground is being made up on the leaders. Actually, now that I think of it, that's pretty much what I do at any track I go to..... unless there are battles up towards the front. I almost always leave a happy customer.
Marks was always a good one to watch come through the field up there. Dave Blaney had a great one last year during the Kauffman race, going from 24th to 3rd. I've watched another few drivers do it too. Some people get too caught up in the amount of lead changes.

yeah...I was so glad when the new management shipped all that dust back to Selinsgrove!
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Thats why I didn't say his name....
I'm pretty nuch the same, I hadn't been there for a couple of years, enjoyed Dream Race last summer
DeWease won, I was happy, so were my "occasional sprint race" friends
Probably not a big deal for Pa. locals, but I had forgotten how pretty the drive was from Harrisburg
