Hats off to Tony. Great race tonight. Speed was back to par with multiple lanes to pass.

Wasnt Tatnells TR at Knoxville run late at night trying to get a show in during Nationals after rain? Seems thats how I remember it. I'd imagine quite a few TR's are set under these kind of conditions. Like most above have said, I'll take a track guys can race on over being ooh'd and ahhh'd on qualifying times 100% of the time if it was actually possible.

every race this royal weekend and i mean every race has been won off the front row

the mystique of eldora is gone cause anyone can ride em high there which gives it no seperation from men and boys anymore

the 15 won his heat from 5th Saturday nite and won the the KR from 3rd after backing up to 5th on the start

Exactly. Stewart from 21st to 6th, Pittman 23rd to 7th. Good racing

Not sure how anyone could find much fault with the track last night. Was good all night, equal during the duration of time trials, good heats, Haud bring Haud, and a good A main.

Agreed. Was it 2 or 3 years ago, small rainstorm Wed. afternoon, track preppped after slight delay. Everybody was running superfast in TT, races were mostly follow the leader.

Screw track records....

Ding Ding Ding... There were many cars in the 14 sec bracket this evening. This is probably wrong but I believe before this it was Mike Reinke and beore him I think it was Mark Kinser at a WoO show or the Nationals. Before that not sure but I am thinking Don Droud Jr.

Eldora's track record was set by Craig Dollansky back in 2002 at 12.707. 14 years later your lucky to see a car run under 13.5.... tonight you were lucky to see under 14. I understand the track gets slicked over the second night but it's simply not as fast as it used to be. Anyone care to explain? What am I missing?

Socialism, feminism, the scourge called NASCAR, over educated golfer types pretending to know about auto racing running the show and one of the biggest helpings of chevyitis the world has every known.  May God bless the folks that weren't around in the 90s before the castration.   My vintage video collection becomes more valuable every year.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Saturday was a fantastic show... Christopher Bell had him in his sights for sure, shame he got into the wall.  But fantastic racing throughout!  Thanks Tony and Eldora!

Schatz was doing 14.5's in the A Main, even using Mr Rear's Eldora distance of .43 miles around, that's 106mph average.

Consider that in the A Main at the world's slowest half mile, they frequently are doing 20 second laps. Even at Mr Rear's .52 mile estimate, that's around 93 mph average, Eldora is still a bad ass track.

If Eldora is a 1/2 miles the Knoxville is 5/8 or 3/4 because it looks like Eldora would easily fit in the infield of Knoxville. Love both tracks and been to both plenty o times. Just my observation.

Eldora I believe is considered 1/2 on the outside, while Knoxville is considered a 1/2 on the inside..so you're correct, Knoxville is closer to 5/8.

I think Hodnett, DeWease, Stevie Smith & Dietrich could have been contenders

Not my call, they have their reasons....

If that were true, why did they stay home? Eldora and the Grove are 2 completely different animals.

I would think they stayed home because their car owners wanted to stay on the porch. Of the posse teams listed in a previous post, I'm thinking Mike Heffner has the most robust budget. Not sure why they decided to stay home.  Heck they didn't show up for the Susky show Sunday. Rahmer may be close budget wise, but he is focusing on his two sons' racing careers. It's been well documented that the Kreitz/Dewease team is low budget and only running a select, part time schedule. Dietrich's in a tight  points battle with Hodnett at the Grove so that may have influenced the decision not to tow west. Zemco team has not traveled much the past few years, typically just Florida and Knoxville. Coldren/Esh don't travel. Was surprised they towed south to Florida this year. Initial plan this year was to run only at Port, but have been running both Port and the Grove. Guessing they got some extra sponsorship.

Marks did make the tow and qualified all 3 nights. Ryan Smith had a tougher trip, DNQing all 3 nights. Surprised that the Highlands team made the trip. McFadden came up .003 seconds short of making the KR A-main.
