Next Friday, May 2nd is the Rumble in the Bullring at Eagle Raceway.
The mud-slinging, fire-breathing 410's of USAC will be hauling the mail on the high banks of America's Home Track. The Nebraska 360 winged sprints will be the support class.

How many USAC cars are they expecting?
Any advice for a first timer at the track? Hopefully doing Speedy Bill's museum first, then booking it over to Eagle.
Weather looks good!

I'm tempted to drive over to Eagle too as I love to watch USAC sprint cars. However, that is a 205 mile drive for me versus a 110 mile drive to Grain Valley for POWRi Midgets. I think I'll be making a trip to Indiana for Indiana Sprint Week in July so I'll probably just hold off til then.

As far as the museum, they only have 1 tour on Fridays this time of year, and that is at 2 P.M. So, you'll have plenty of time to see the sights there then head out to the track.
If you are planning on coming into the pits, they will open at 4 P.M., so you could stroll through there and catch some pictures, etc. Pit passes are $30 whereas front gate admission for adults is just $20.
It should be a really good night of racing. Hope you have a great time!!!

511 miles each way from my house. It is a no brainer though, other than McCool Jct, that is about the closest to Denver CO that anything decent runs.
I guess I have one decision to make....McCool Jct on Saturday and 450 miles home Sunday or Knoxville and almost 800 miles.

Showing 230 for me to Eagle. Taking my Grandson for his 16th birthday to both nights. Setting up camp in the parking lot. Good call on the museum, might have to try and make that.

If you've never been there, or even if you have seen it 100 times, the museum is a can't miss for any racing enthusiast. I've only been there twice, and can't wait to get another chance to visit again!!!
They change the displays fairly regulary, so there's always something new; or something you missed the time before.

The midgets at Grain Valley always put on a pretty good show. I hoping Tanner Thorson and Chris Bell (according to the Rico's schedule he's heading home to California this weekend) will be there because they are always a joy to watch in midgets. I've been to Eagle a few times for the Nebraska Cup and would love to see some nonwing cars there. Ultimately though I think the miles will win out for me, so to Grain Valley it will probably be.

I hear you Speedbump. Denver's a lonely spot for a sprint car fan these days. Going to be long trip back on Sunday, but I had to go with Knoxville for Saturday. Too many sprints to pass up!

I feel lucky. I live in Lincoln, so it`s 15 miles to Eagle from my house. 55 to Junction, and 210 to knoxville.

Given a choice I'd stay in Lincoln and go to Eagle's Saturday night show and save JMS for another time. Twice the cars, twice the action, what's not to like there...

Where do they want us people with campers to park at Eagle? Might leave this evening and be there tonight.

Some folks put their motorhomes up against the east fence (right by the road), but if you just have a camper I'd suggest on the far west side. That save parking space for others.

Might we see more non wings now since Rapid Speedway cancelled 2014 race season?

Maybe more 360s now that LA Raceway closed their doors.
