Cool idea, but I don't recall it putting much money in anyone's pocket. Anyone really think Tanner Thorson is going to win tonight from 10th?

Being a midget fan, I root for Thorson but I don't think it's going to happen.  As of now I'm just hoping that Madsen doesnt win through a combination of blocking on the front stretch and lucky timing of yellows every time someone is in a position to pass him. I've got to hand it to him though, he's kicking butt on restarts! Maybe that'll be enough to earn the win

How many times are they going to let Kasey spin and bring out a yellow?

He started on the pole of his heat, fell to 7th, then finished last after spinning out. Then he spun 3 more times in the A. I don't think I've ever seen a good driver look worse.

Well, I've got a check myself there… Kerry was definitely doing more than blocking in this last stint! Macri had nothing for him. Glad to be proven wrong

Corey got it done ! I knew that kid was going to get a win in the High Limit series this season, I just didn't know it would come this soon.

Racing was decent, but did anyone notice the lack of fans ?  Drone shoot showed the place couldn't have had more than a couple hundred people there.

A friend text me and said the same.... I wonder who took the loss?  The track or HL?

During Heat Races:

Sunday nights can be tough for crowd. Short track racing with lot of action with some of the favorites not able to run the top with Day. With lack of fans you wonder how much live streaming adds. Chase is doing a good job of announcing lot of things to cover. 3 nights in a row for HL and car count was adequate

If Larson had been there, it probably would have been packed. It's sad because it was still a great field of cars and great racing at a cool track, but you need a big recognizable name like "Larson" or "outlaws" for the casual part-time fans to come out on a Sunday night. High Limit doesn't have that name recognition yet despite offering a show and field of cars that's about equal to the WOO. They will do much better fan-wise when they race in sprint car hotbeds where fans know what they are getting.

I hope you do not think I was bashing Thorson. Just did not think he had the car to win from where he was starting. Been a Thorson fan for along time.

Not big crowds at many of the races so far. Sure the cool Temps play a part in that. I thought Chase sounded pretty stupid when yelling "and the stands are packed" as  part of his pre A main thing to try and rival Gibsons "you wanted the best, you got the best"

Nah... I know where you were coming from. Thorson is definitely an underdog in a sprint car. Gotta say I'm pretty impressed so far. I've only seen him in a midget.

Running RPM on a Sunday night just 60 miles from the night before TMS race was going to be a real stretch for fans.  This is not Pennsylvania so there are only so many sprint car fans to go around.   I live maybe 10 miles from TMS.  I never was going to go to a race all the way across the Metroplex on a Sunday night.

I suspect when HL and the Outlaws were going head to head to sign up tracks in the Texas/Oklahoma area for March/April they knew not all races were going to be moneymakers.

I think as long as they are not losing constantly, as long as Flo gets content with a lot of viewers they'll be alright. They can also go into year 2 and clean all of the scheduling mistakes up and show "growth" or at least an improved bottom line which is good enough for a startup.

Eventually if the tour sticks around they'll have to copy the Outlaw model to some degree and stick to tracks in sprint car hotbeds where they can make money on the front gate.

Like the man said, you can't sell hotdogs to people that aren't there.

Yes, that's 1. How many other times has it happened?

They've only run 8 times this year so far with this promotion, how often were you thinking a game of chance with two variables is going to hit??

To be fair, that's 1 out of 7 races so far in 2024. Not a bad percentage.
