How much fun would it be to see him win all 4 of them?

Kenny Schrader used to all that stuff, still does somewhat.. You have to appreciate these kinds of racers it seems like they can just do it all. The Grove will be a bit more interesting now. Larson is going to need a couple of  merchandise trailers for the weekend.

oooh... that could be great duel! :)

I didn't realize it was an Allstar race.... Lance usually skips "weeklies"

An incredible talent, an incredible team - with incredible funds - likely more than Tony, a free country. But if Nolan Ryan came down to AAA for a rehab assignment it would be cool for a few months, but if he came down whenever he wanted, nobody would get a hit and it would get old. This is getting old.

Charlotte is to close to Central PA. There's a lot of local teams that could use at least some 1st place money.

I don't get the chance to travel the 200 miles to my beloved Central PA very often. When I do, I'm picking a weekly show of the AAA teams.

Somewhat agree with this. Realy got spoiled last year watching him seemingly every night somewhere on the dirt.  Now I'll opt for whatever he's running (LM at Tyler County over All Stars, etc) over anything else because he's that good.  He could have won in the water truck last night.

Ok, I'll bite

Where does the "with incredible funds---likely more than Tony" theory come from?  I didn't have to do any research to know this is very unlikely.  But I researched it anyways.  Tony's net worth around $90 according to most sources.  He made a lot of money in the hayday of Indy and Nascar.  Kyle's net worth is listed at around $12 million which sounds about right as his net worth was listed around $10 million at the start of 2020.  And, as far as Nascar's salarys have fallen dramatically----in some cases as much as 5-10 times lower, and his severe lack of endorsements and big-dollar sponsors, Kyle would have to drive 20-30 more years to reach where Tony is right now-----if relying on Nascar salary to build wealth.  And, that's assuming he's not blowing a bunch of that Nascar money on dirt racing.  Nothing about your statement adds up at all.  If Kyle and/or Paul Silva spent the kind of money you speak of, he would be spending all of the money he is making.  Doesn't sound like a very good retirement savings plan to me.

You sound like the prototypical mother-in-law----give a couple of compliments, and then take your jab.  "Incredible talent, and incredible team" and then the jab "with incredible funds."  Silly.  You're on a sprint car board with a bunch of seasoned sprint car fans.  Most of us have watched him race since day one.  If you still think the main reason this "kid" gets to victory lane more than anyone else is because of funds, you are a very poor judge of talent.

That is all

"if Nolan Ryan came down to AAA for a rehab assignment"????

In terms of dirt track, that race last nite was not "MInor League" in any way!

Any other NASCAR driver would have been mid pack at best

I think Lance would have had a chance if he didn't go to the bottom on Turn One, Lap 10.... couldn't figure out why he did that...

But what do I know? Lance obviously had his reasons

Would love to see Kyle at Indy some day in May.  Is doing the double still possible?

He will probably get his chance.I actually thought Chip G. would be his shot at Indy. With Silva,Brown and Werner in the AllStar pits last night you had the best in the business and its great to start from pole but Larson and Lance could have started aways back and made it more entertaining as there was more lapping than passing. He actually makes it look too easy as they are that good. The WOO are very good but the AllStars also have a good field of racers.

IF...

... I had $10,000

.... I knew who to talk to

....I was at WG.

....anyone would care.....

I would have made it a back row challenge for an extra $10,000 to the polar opposite aged duo.

Who would have like to see that effort?

I'll morph this into  a WG thread. Did Zearfross use his WoO car or his family, local car on Friday?

Sorry, the seasoned veterans are mostly gone from this board. They would let a guy talk out his a$$ once in a while  without replying with insults.
I don't deny Larson's and Silva's talent one bit. He's a few Indy car and maybe sports car wins from being the best ever - and he's what?, 26? And Paul Silva has won in everything he touch win a wrench

Tony surely has more net worth but probably not much more" net worth " in a single car.

And, for the record, on a spring Sunday afternoon in 1985-ish, I watched a kid in a low, low budget 2D lead a bunch of laps before a big dog ran him down. I knew that day that the kid was going somewhere

But, am I a great judge of talent? Nope

Am I a seasoned veteran? yep, since 1983

Do I talk out my a$$ sometimes ? Yep

Did it bother me when Steve Kinser and Doug Wolfgang won more than their fair share of races? Nope

Does it bother me that Kyle Larson wins more than his fair share of races? Yep, can't explain that contrast - maybe it's cuz I'm getting old, I don't know

Do I "bite" and insult someone on this board? Nope - and never will

I can't explain your contrast either.   Having a difficult time understanding it myself.  So, just to clarify----Steve Kinser, who had far and away the most lopsided advantage of any sprint car driver ever, did not bother you at all when he dominated.  But Kyle Larson does?  Even if your false claims of his endless budget were true, this wouldn't make sense.

Also, now that I think of what you said about Tony's "net worth in a single car" it gets even less important as to what Tony's net worth actually is.  Tony has MAJOR sponsors plastered all over the fenders, wings, and haulers on top of the large bankroll to back it up.   Kyle has NO major sponsors or endorsements and likely will struggle to get them for years to come.  That is what has always drawn me to Kyle----his ability to jump into anything and make it fast.  The funding of the cars does not even come into play when I judge his talent or career to this point.  He is a little fish in a big pond when it comes to money being spent at any given event he shows up at.  There are some very, very deep pockets out there. They don't even have a backup car ready to pull out of the trailer when he tears one up.  So, I'll say it once again------if you believe money and funding are the biggest part of Kyle's success, you are a poor judge of talent.  Sorry if you take that as an insult.

Also, Kyle is a long ways away from being the best ever.  However, he could definitely earn that status some day.  He doesn't need to win in an irrelavent Indy car series to achieve this status.  He would just need to keep doing what he's doing for a sustained period of time.  For God's sake Danica won in that pile of garbage.

I pretty much agree with all if that. Tony has more funding than anyone (probably, can't debate what I don't know), but he's just "better than average" with winged dirt cars. Kyle is a unique talent, wins SO much, but its WAY too early to call him "best ever"...

Not so much the funding part; but compare the skill set to Donny.  He's quite a talent in a 410 Sprint Car; but what is his Late Model Top 5 finish percentage ?  He's been racing them for years and top dollar team...and yeah; talking out my ars but my .02 !

I only watched the highlight video and didn't slow it down and inspect deeply but it seems that Larson threw the right rear on two consecutive nights. The first night he hip checked his former driver but took himself out and then sends Mason Daniel straight into the wall. That was a pretty scary looking Crash from the video I watched. Anybody see it live?
