Personal attacks and Politics

Neither one has any place on this forum. If all you do on this forum is to call posters names, criticize post contents and topics, odr turn every thread into a political debate. Please find another forum to go "play in".

Participants on this forum have different levels of backgrounds and time watching and participating in Sprint Car racing. If you cannot offer insight or information without resorting to name calling or criticizing a post or question, then please just move on. Find someone else to try to harass, annoy, or denigrate face to face instead of hiding behind your keyboard.

The above is an expanation of why topic posts and threads get editied or deleted.

I totally agree with this thread. For 16 years I was the website administrator for a motorhome RV club forum. This forum had a policy that that no one was allowed to criticize or call another poster names. Once warned and if you violated that policy again, all of your prior posts were deleted and you were permanently banned from posting again, I banned two posters on that forum and surprise, the forum was surprisingly civil after that. I would suggest the administrators and moderators for this forum try this banning policy - it really works.

You guys need to work on this thread. Strawser's shit is getting more hits than your cryin.  This place goes off topic, gets political, gets religious, speeling and all that stuff make you prey in today's interweb fun. I'd rather discuss racing but it just doesn't happen much anymore without someone getting in a twist and changing the topic.

I just posted this to move this ahead of strawser's port post.

Posts that a track sucks only hurts that racetrack. Then you will complain when it closes up. We've all seen enough dirt tracks close down, bashing those still open & running 410 sprint cars can only hurt attendance, it surely will not help grow the fan base 

I've seen good racing on all kinds of racetracks. What makes a good racing surface on dirt is a matter of opinion and opinions should NOT be called facts 

So self aware with that signature.

I have been a member of every iteration of this messageboard for 24 years, I used to make multiple visits and posts a day. Now I visit and post on here a couple of times a month. Sadly, this board is just a shell of what it used to be. Death by a thousand cuts...

A lot of the chatter that used to be on the boards is now taking place in Facebook Sprint Car groups.  That trend has been going on for about ten years now and has all but killed the old fashioned message board.

Your problem is that you equate YOUR OPINION with "facts"....

I'm not just saying this to you but to EVERYONE who contributes to the off topic arguing and name calling.  Anyone who reads this board knows who the people (and it's only a few) are that start with the name calling changing topics etc usually.  Quick story when I was growing up I had an older brother who was a real dick head to me, however once I turned 10-12 I decided I wasn't going to let him get to me anymore and basically I just ignored him when he tried starting something, funny thing is shortly after that we got along great, he quit doing it, it wasn't any fun for him to pick on me if he wasn't getting a reaction out of me.  The moral of the story is if you don't like people name calling and changing topics, don't respond to it.  The people who do this do it for attention and if you give it to them they will keep doing it.

Were I a moderator I would ban Strawser just based on principle. I would have banned Bob Altman for the same reason. Their "Rain Man" level consistent bullshit gets very old very fast.

Sorry, moderators have every right to censor or ban you. "Free Speech" means government can't interfere with what you want to say. HH is NOT government, its a private entity....

& what are you trying to accomplish anyway? You think PR management is going to "see the light" & appoint you track prep boss? Or do you actually enjoy annoying your fellow race fans?

He just wants attention. As difficult as it may be, best thing is just to ignore anything he posts. No attention and he will, eventually, go away. It won't be fun for him and more.

Preach it revjimk.  So sick of this wave of "we've lost our right to free speech" flying across this country.  (which, by the way, your right to free speech gives you the right to say you think you've lost your free speech----you'd just be wrong) 

I have not seen ONE single example of loss of right of free speech anywhere.  If anyone has, you don't understand what "Free Speech" is.  As revjimk pointed out, HH has the right to remove anything or anyone they please and this in no way violates your First Amendment rights.  Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat can remove any ad or post they want, politically driven or not----and it is not a violation of your First Amendment rights.  Kyle Larson can be fired for ANYTHING he said, whether it was in private or public, and it is not a violation of his First Amendment rights.  Now, in any of these examples, if someone was arrested and imprisoned for something they said or posted, and it was not a direct threat to someone, this would be an example of a violation of your free speech.  I have heard of no examples of this happening.
