It was a great track. I wouldn't mind if it was like that for the rest of the season but it won't be. It's dirt. With dirt tracks, variables are the name of the game. Either way, it was a great night.

Everyone needs to start caring about the dust.  A dirt track is business and businesses fall under the watchful eye of government agencys, including OSHA.  The amount of airborne particles (dust) emited by businesses can be the subject of regulations by the government.

Cheroger your reply is a result of what this whole planned-demic was designed to do. Big govt has positioned itself to rule your world and needed something to scare the masses into obedience.

I personally would be more afraid of getting a venereal disease from a race track washroom than the covid  from a racetrack patron. Breathing dust resulting in a possible lung infection has been a reality since the 2nd car was built and very few cared and no govt used it to control anyone. Those who cared wore a mask or goggles, those who didnt, didnt and those who forgot to plan ahead watched the race in joy and went home careless of the possible impending health concerns.. Nobody hated their neighbor or local race team for what may happen to their length of life. Your valuable American Freedoms are on the chopping block and July 5th should be one of the last days anyone in your country should ignore that.

To keep it racy, I'm glad Port was so good even Strawser humbled himself and did the right thing.

Even though I may not know you, I

Many  years ago Port was under fire from the gov about a dust problem. People need to remember that tracks that are brightly lit will show more particles in the air. I watched from the tube last night and thought it was a pretty good race, I thought most of the races this week were pretty good on the half miles. Not sure I care for the format, I'd like more of an inversion.

I thought last night was the worst of the 3 Port races from the past week. To each their own.

i'm confused.  you're saying big government created it...yet our president is essentially ignoring it.  he has from the start.  even governor wolf looked the other way for the last 9 nights in pennsylvania.

if anything doctors and scientists created it.  i guess we are trying to control the masses by stressing simple things like wearing a mask until we totally understand this thing.  going home careless about the impending health concern is exactly the problem.  here's to hoping the damage isn't already done with pa speedweek...because "big government" did nothing to enforce their recommendations so if there was any chance of getting people to listen...it's gone now.

i do agree transmission from dirt track dust is probably impossible.    it also dawned on me this week that many race fans might not be able to afford a mask.  i try to give people the benefit of the doubt.  my concern is more people are actually just ambivalent/irresponsible about the whole thing and wouldn't wear a mask even if lance dewease or kyle larson gave it to them.

It was a good race, not nearly as good as Thursday. You seem to prefer a high speed parade over a highly competitive race on a dry slick track, like I sajd to each their own.

It was good race but IMO the best racing was the last 10 laps or so when the cushion got pushed up and track finally started to develop more grooves which of course led to more passing and back and forth reacing like always. If the track had been like that at the start of the feature the race would have been even better, but I'm certainly not complaining. I don't mind seeing the raw speed every once in awhile. Marks needs to get up on the wheel on the initial starts and the restarts and he may have won last night and maybe a couple others. The 5 has been fast.

Dammit, we were all doing a good job of keeping politics off HH until this ridiculous, paranoid comment

You think people are dying ALL OVER the world to "scare the masses into obedience"???

Please stop

No Kyle at Fremont... anyone know if he's doing other Ohio SW races?

Hey, I'm the first one to tell Strawser to shove his Port opinion where the sun don't shine but I gotta give him kudos on his post.  He had the nuts enough to man up and compliment Port on their track surface and the racing.  That says something. Alot of times haters will hate no matter what but he actually said something nice.  Now, I do wonder if that run in with Razor Steve may have happened and that lead to his positive comments, lol.

Kyle indicated in an interview after the race at Port that he wasn't going to Fremont because the team needed a break. I think he will be at Wayne Co tonight and I'm thinking he'll hit the majority or all of the remaining races in Ohio.

Exactly! I think it's more like the right wing conspiracy theorists are dumbing the masses into idiocy.
