Read something that Kyle has now won features at 72 different race tracks already. I don't know how to find out, but has anyone else won at that many different tracks by the age of 28? Pretty incredible no matter what.

Get ready, you asked an innocent question, but you are about to get berated because you are implying that Kyle is the greatest sprint car driver of all time.  (even though you did not----that is how it is about to be interpreted)

Seriously though, that is incredible. I don't care who anyone wants to compare him to, Kyle is an amazing talent.  I would be curious to know the answer to your question as well.  If I had to guess, I would say no.

Steve Kinser has won at 142 different tracks just in the outlaws. I read this on the Indy Star

Agree.  If he continues this pace, or even 50% of this pace, for the next 10-15 years, it will be hard to agrue against him.  In my opinion, he's the best talent I've ever seen.  Now he just needs to complete a career with the numbers attached for all of the nay-sayers to buy into the "hype"

So question:  If he continues to run a true outlaw schedule and never win any titles, does that make it tougher for him in the court of public opinion?  (it doesn't for me)

We've seen this before. A sprint car racer gets really good and before you know it, some NASCAR team snatches him up and he's gone. :0

Wolfgang hardly ever ran the WoO full time and is considered one of the best ever. He needs to win a few Nationals and Royals etc.. but he's an incredible talent.

I think he'll run the WoO tour eventually, it'sa goal of his to win a title and it's the best money in dirt racing, plus he can still run midgets.

That's definitely my thoughts as well.  However, I don't know if he needs MULTIPLE wins at Knoxville and the King's Royal.  Add one of each of those to his resume, and he will have the most diverse resume of any driver of all time.

No way on the most diverse resume. Mario Andretti has that 100 times over Larson, no matter how many Nationals or Royals he wins.

I am curious as to how many of those wins came on his very first time racing there.

IIRC,  Steve Kinser had a pretty impressive number in the "wins on first try" category

Mario, AJ , Parnelli, Gurney and many more. Kyle is about the best I've got to witness on dirt, besides Kinser Wolfie, and sammy. Stewart proved he can drive about anything too, Some guys are just really good, I'd like to see what C. Bell could do in other forms of racing. Its nice to watch a legend in the making its a good distraction from we call normal life these days

King also won a bunch in Silver Crown and wingless sprint wins. He and Larson are similar in that they could win in anything. Kinser would have been alot better in Cup had he started at 25 instead of 40.

....or if he was able to hook up with a team that wasn't on the verge of folding.

Try as he might, I don't think Larson will ever catch up to Mario's cageless dirt track wins.

Nor the F1 championship, Indy 500 or Daytona 500 wins.

Did you not see the wink?  I was being sarcastic.  Some fans thought Tyler was the second coming of (enter name here). :)

When I made that comment, Mario came to mind.  However, I can't speak for Mario's accomplishments----I never got to witness them.  Kyle can't win the events Mario did because many of them don't exist and haven't for decades.  He had a lot of diversity in his wins because that's what drivers did-----they raced non-stop.  Kyle is doing this in a completely different era.  I don't disagree with you----comparing eras is tough for me because it's apples and oranges.

I never liked Tyler Walker, but that doesnt change the fact the dude could wheel a winged sprint car.  And do it very well.  But drugs and being a idiot sorta ruined that for him.  Hope Kyle doesnt do something stupid like that.
