Uh oh, the track is already gone after 2 nights of racing. Please Volusia, step up and spend a couple hours digging that dang track up and soaking it OR the Outlaw shows will be slow, useless, huggy pole racing. I think they may have been a half dozen flat tires in the last few laps tonite and it is likely to only get worse. You have the best group of Sprint Cars there until the Nationals, don't let your fans down....

Track was as good as it could be under extreme conditions: It was 85 degrees today, with sustained winds of 20mph and much higher gusts. Had a brief shower during the heat races, with HEAVY rain predicted starting between 10 and 11pm. Unfortunately, that meant the track crew couldn't take any time to work the track without significantly increasing the chance of having the rain move in before completing the sprint car feature. Sometimes the weather dictates track conditions, no matter how hard one of the best track prep crews in the country works. Highs in the 60's the rest of the weekend, and MUCH less wind. We'll be good. . .

Is the track prep crew an imported one? Been a half dozen years since I have been there but the dozen or so prior to that it was often the same as last night, here's hoping....

I saw where the wind was so high that the Late Models at another Florida track had the videographers get down out of the lifts. They had to focus those cameras on a single spot and couldn't have anyone operating them. Those kinds of temps and wind combined with soft compounds are going to rubber down most tracks reqardless of how they work it. It becomes a balancing act between working the track between races and moving the show along at a reasonable pace. All I can say is that I'm glad I'm not in charge because that's a tough situation. No promoter ever made the decision to force a less than perfect track on their customers when it was within their ability to do better.

Can we just make a thread entitled Strawser hates Port Royal's Track Prep, so that we don't have to have every single unrelated thread hijacked by it?

The dude is an absolute knob for sure, but in this case I think he means he won't be showing up to Williams Grove for their "three weekends" of racing.
I'm sure they'll miss his attendance.

I said no promoter ever PURPOSELY gave the fans a bad track. Apparently that simple sentence is too difficult for some to comprehend. ;)

That's a great idea but he's actually bitching about Williams Grove now. What a loser.

If I am not happy with any kind of entertaiment I simply stop spending my money on it and find something else to do. If the tracks around your location have a problem with track prep stop going and find another destination, watch other places on PPV or find something besides racing as entertainment.
The tracks in my orbit are in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa and they consistently do a good job at preparation. If you want to split hairs do it with someone else.

A certain Track comes to mind a few years back. It was a Usac race that said it was a rainout but they never even watered the damn thing. It was so dusty in fact that you could not see the suites from 1 & 2 after a lap if that.

With the way you run your stupid mouth, I expect to see your ass sitting on the grader at any of the local tracks this year so you can show everyone once and for all, how well you have it figured out. As much shit as you talk, I'd like to think you'd jump out of your shoes at the opportunity to put your infinite knowledge to good use prepping the perfect dirt track just the way you want it. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that we won't see that happen this year or any other year in the future because you're nothing more than a lazy, know it all blow hard who loves nothing more than to sit on your lazy ass talking shit about the people who actually do the work. So either get on the grader at some dirt track somewhere and SHOW us what you can do, or fuck off. No one wants to hear your nonsense anymore. Put up or shut up.

Once again for the 100th + time you are not using the word fact(s) correctly. What you are stating is not fact but your opinion. A fact is something that is objectively true & cannot be disproven scientifically. There is no real way to prove what type of track prep is the best because it is subjective to millions of opinions.
A fact is saying something that the planet is a sphere, or that we revolve around the sun, or 2+2 = 4. Those are true no matter if you choose to be a "flat earther." Taking an opinion & passing your opinion off as a fact is just annoying and makes you sound like a P.O.S. You are entitled to your opinion but others are allowed to have others. So stop hijacking threads about your track prep preferences. We already know and just are tired of reading about it. You're not a cult leader & you're not recruiting any of us on your little quest

Track was great tonight two grooves and solid speed, WELL DONE TRACK CREW!!!!
Glad to hear Ian Madsen is okay, he's one tough little bugger to begin with and is really coming on as a racer.
Bad luck for Kyle Larson, passed about 15 cars and got a flat right rear with a couple to go, he has really struggled since the Chili Bowl but will bounce back, no doubt. One of the Shark cars may have passed even more, lots of race speed, not so much early in the night tho'....
Looking forward to tomorrow, watched a USCS race in somewhere Florida after Dirtvision, check out my review, lol....

Good racing tonight for sure. Ian's wreck was vicious - seconding MSPN on him walking away. Also great to see his humbleness on display by taking full fault with a nice tweet. He has been super fast so far - hopefully the pairing with Tyler Swank will pay off.
Larson did have a nice run, but man does he throw some questionable sliders. Two for sure were caught on broadcast, one on Marks going into 1 and one on Macedo midway through 3 and 4. Feel like if he keeps that up and tries it with the wrong guy he's going to get punted.
