Tough to tell since the video only shows the end of it but just because there is no contact doesn't mean it was a clean move. If you don't give the other guy enough room to race and pinch him to the wall, that's still dirty IMO. Doesn't sound like Lucas was pleased with the move.

That's just good, hard racing for the win. Congrats to Greg.

Only the second time in 8 weeks Wolfe has tore up a race car no fault of his own racing Greg. Hard to tell the whole story at Lincoln because of the angle/duration of the video. I will say this though. I dont think facts mean a whole bunch to Lucas at the moment given he has been on the receiving end twice.

Video is pretty good. It's nine seconds, which takes them through the last corner where everything happened. Also, not too much damage on Wolfe's car. Still, it gives people plenty to talk about and debate.

Hard racing on the last corner of the last lap for the win. First place paid $7,000. Second place paid $2,000. Neither of them were gonna lift. Lucas was upset and he should be. He was on the bad end of it. Every sprint car driver has been on the giving and receiving end of deals like that. As far as us fans go, that's what we pay to see.

Certain other drivers have used that same move for years at Lincoln. If your favorite does it, it is a great move. If your favorite lost, it's a dirty move.

Hahaha. I guess you didn't read the comments from Lucas about the incident. Fine with it??? I don't think so, lol.

He definitely wasn't OK with it but that's only because he came out on the losing end. If it were Greg in his position, he'd have been unhappy as well. That's why they call them "racing deals". I've seen Lucas pull that same move before as well. Just about any sprint car driver in the world has at one point or another.

I was at the race & although they did not touch, in hindsight I feel sure that Lucas would have driven a little more aggressive the last 5 laps if he would have pulled the wing back. He had a 1/2 a straightaway lead & was just being reeled in each lap. Hodnett beat him to the exit of 4 & that was that. Did it look dirty, yes a little, but without contact who can u put the blame on??
I am sure there will be another time.

On another subject, does anyone remember the night that Hodnett got his leg banged up at Port when he was in the 77.

There was plenty of room. It's not Greg's fault that the room included the cushion. It's really funny how the article talks about booing Hodnett. Is he not supposed to be aggressive and try to win? Don't get me wrong, I like having Lucas in the field of cars every week, but there is probably a reason Heffner picked Greg and not Lucas. I hope the Heffner team parks it 10-20 more times this year and everyone can continue to whine that the ex outlaw should have here and there. Lucas can time, he just can't seal the deal when leading.
Fast is sweet but, sweeter on dirt.

Right on. I can't wait until Greg beats the Outlaws again. You won't hear a single boo or jeer. In fact, the same simpletons who are booing him now will cheer like hell when he beats the WoO. It was the same way with Rahmer. The people booing him are only doing so because they're pissed that he's beating their favorite drivers ass on a weekly basis. For some reason, there's a lot of people who can't appreciate seeing greatness unfold before their eyes. Their loss I guess.

hodnett ran lucas up the track. lucas didnt brake and back out of it. 2 sides to every story, depending on whose story you want to listen to or who you are a fan of. i am not a fan of either so i dont give a shit. if you want racing without "racing deals", build a soap box car or go slot car drag racing.

If there was no contact it was a 100% clean move. If Lucas Wolfe doesn't like clean hard racing I suggest that he seriously looks at moving to drag racing....

I do. I was there that night. Dave hahn spun coming out of turn 4. Hodnett on the highside and on the hammerr drilled Hahn in the side. had no time to react. Al was sitting in front of my Dad and I. he stood up an said that was bad. he was defeintly worried about his wheel man.
