MHardee I know you are probally are aware of about everything that is going on and you are right about Jason being professional about this ordeal. I was also at the Williams Grove race where Jason had to return a trophy that he had won and WRG was threatening him than about keeping more of his money if the trophy wasn't returned. When they came to the rig to get the trophy they didn't want others to see what was going on and asked Jason for a garbage bag to put it in, to leave the trailer with it. Jason at this time expressed his desire to end this thing. He made them a offer for them at this time to keep what monies they had already cheated him out of, which was a few thousands at this time. He was told than pretty much it wasn't gonna happen. It wasn't that Jason was saying I did wrong, lets end this, It was him saying I don't like this, I wanna be a member, let's end this and go on. They have treated him like the outcast since the rumours of a lawsuit. If these people at WRG were any decent kind of people at all they would of acted like a bunch of mature business minded guys and tried to resolve this in a more professional manner. If Brian Carter had just returned a phone call this wouldn't be going on. Jason would of not liked it but he wouldn't have raced the race that Schatz, and Kasey Kahnes Racing cars raced that day. It wasn't like it was a few hours before the race that Carter had been called, It was days. He actually made verball contact with Carter to be told , "Hey I'm busy crunching numbers, let me get back to you tomorrow". Carter never returned his call and phone records will show this. Must of been a bad day of crunching numbers! At one point I know Jason didn't want this to go as far as having to go to court and fighting for the over $40,000 that WRG has stolen from him. Jason needs this money that he has earned to return to racing. He has supported running 100% of every race with this series. Yes there is a contract, Yes Jason signed the contract, but the contract he signed is a screwed up contract that probally isn't worth the paper it's wrote on. We'll see what the courts have to say! My money is on Jason Sides and Sides Motorsports. I have lots more to say but theres gonna be a time for it.

When Mr Carter was crunching numbers he found they were $40,000 short of making there monthly target.
I SUPPORT JASON SIDES FROM DOWN UNDER

WRG didn't have a table or a chair at the banquet tonight for Jason. They didn't have his money for drivers points either. WRG the karma train is heading your way and Jasons driving it full speed! woot woot!!!!!!

I suppose I'm not surprised by the classless WRG; namely Brian Carter. I hope Jason wins this in court and the lawyer fees don't make it all for not. What little background I have in legal matters, I do believe he has a legitimate shot at winning this case. While his contract with WRG is black and white; WRG has opened themselves up by allowing certain drivers the opportunity to race at non-WoO races, thus making all drivers contracts now very GRAY. In this case, 2 cars were at that All-Star race because they were granted permission by said classless Brian Carter. If Jason has cell phone records (which is admissible evidence in a court of law) proving he called Mr. Carter to get permission to race, then there is a realistic chance a judge and/or jury will award Sides this victory. If no other teams had been granted permission, then I'd say there would be no chance at all for Jason.

In all fairness, WRG did get an infusion of $25,000 into their coffers by grabbing half the winner's share of this year's Modified race at Super DIRT Week and only paying out $25,000 to win instead of the posted $50,000.

Thanks, I wasn't going to do it until the provisional thing. It is kinda a way to protest their stupid choices and ways they are treating drivers and fans.

I bet if it was Sides that won Nationals, then pumped 9 times for C.I. they'd have DQed him at the first one. Jason seems to handling this is stride and with class. I am sure Jason has heard the fans defending him, so he knows he doesn't have to act out. I know I'll be heckling WoO officials when I pass by them.

If this is true (and I'm sure it is) then I am absolutely disgusted.

Assuming that this banquet snub is true...

Let's add these facts together and try to surmise if there is fire where the smoke is coming from:

1. An unsanctioned race was attended by multiple WoO drivers/teams.

2. Only one of those drivers/teams was penalized IN ANY WAY for it. (Let's take out the OPINION that it was an absurd penalty... even though it was)

3. That driver/team waited until THE END OF THE YEAR with only one weekend of racing left to say anything about it.

4. He was shunned and outcast for that final weekend by the WRG... with them even going so far as to take away his normal parking spot and mysteriously leave his name off of the driver/teams guest list (which was only 12... not a tough list to remember) at the awards banquet.

8 years of total commitment with one of the smallest budget teams gets you this kind of treatment.

5. THIS YEAR ALONE... not including any other previous year or circumstance that they have screwed people or teams out of money... the WRG OUTRIGHT STOLE $25,000 from the rightful winner of the prize of another WoO class event after the initial winner was found to be illegal.

Now, for my opinion... however small it may be.

I'm no fire fighter... but I see the flames roasting the historic name of the World of Outlaws and there is a TON of smoke.

As for Jason's character... a little tidbit:

a.) Oshweken Speedway, Jason won a $3,000 bonus for something... (I don't remember what it was... leading the most laps or something... it's not important.) What did the guy that is running one of the most under-funded teams do?

He gave it away to charity. Right then and there. No thought about it.

No other driver could have used that money more than Jason that night.

b.) Jason is known (and well received) for being a straight shooter. Someone you can always count on for getting the truth out... and not get some canned response that almost everyone in ANY sport is trained to give. No matter how many times Jason has lost a race due to a last corner pass... or a lapped car... or ANYTHING... have you honestly EVER heard him say a disparaging remark about anyone else?? In fact, I don't think I've ever heard an interview when he DIDN'T congratulate the guy who just won, no matter if he just stole the victory from him or not.

Wait a sec... have you heard a disparaging remark about the WRG from him yet?? I've heard him say "I want what is rightfully mine" and that "I will not run with the World of Outlaws if they don't pay me my money..."

...but nothing else. I doubt you will, either.

WRG acts like this in a week's time and Jason's had all year to blast them. I find that funny.

(Oh, and by the way... I know he didn't have a great weekend... but I thought it was a bit IRONIC that Jason Sides' name and car was routinely left out of the "live" SPEED broadcast. Maybe that's just my speculation... maybe not.)

I seriously hope to see WRG and the World of Outlaws succeed. I have grown up with it... it would be hard for me to let that go. I hope to see Jason as a regular with them, getting better every year as he has been.

But I want to see what is right prevail.

WRG is shooting themselves in the foot. This guy has dripped blood, sweat, and tears for them for 8 years. Sure, he's a "rebel with a ponytail" but he helps sell your tickets whether you like it or not.

Some people like the underdog. Schatz was an underdog once, remember that?

(That ponytail thing is really ridiculous by the way... I mean, the guys got long hair... get over it. It's not 1950!)

I'm starting to see some fire from the smoke here. They (World Racing Group) steals from one guy $25,000 and anothe guy over $40,000. I can almost see that that they didn't have the points fund money to pay the big guys TSR, KKR, Elite, ect. So go figure they steal from the little guys to get this done. So to speak they rob peter to pay paul. This is just some food for thought. Hey Jasons attorneys, make sure that you get to look at all thier books and all thier figures. I see a big crime here! It would be great for some of these ying yangs to go to jail for stealing money from guys that earned it. Just in case some don't know it. The other story on taking money from another driver can be looked at two ways.

1st- The guy that was racing for $50,000 to win. He gets DQ'd for something and WRG says ok you cheated so were taking $25,000 from you for a fine.

2nd- The guy that placed 2nd. If the guy that got DQ'd for cheating should he of even got the $25,000? Shouldn't the whole $50,000 went to the second place guy?

World Racing Group made $25,000 by letting the guy cheat and get by with it. How many times have they done that with the sprint series? It's happened!

i just remembered i was supposed to remember to
remember something but cant remember what i was
supposed to remember.

You have a very good point here. End of the year and they have all this money to pay out. You may have just found the smoke to the fire so to speak. How does one get caught cheating and paid for a race? This sounds like what the sprints did with another issue. I feel sorry for the sescond place guy that got ripped off 50,000. Another bad bad business decision on WRG again.

i can't believe how the WRG is jerking Jason around here. i live in NE Ohio and saw a bunch of races that were non WoO santioned and WoO guys showed up and WON. The All-Stars show in Freemont. guys were saying that they weren't sure if they'd hit it even tho it was on an off day and right on the way to Michigan where the next race was. Meyers showed up and WON the second feature. he finished like 6th in the first (it was a double feature due to a rain out)All-Stars Race at Attica in April. All 4 KKR guys and Lucas Wolfe Showed up

Lou Blaney Memorial- Cody Darrah and Brad Sweet both were there

I hate to say it, but theres a recurring theme to the NON penalized teams. they're run by NASCAR guys (except for Lucas Wolfe)

that kind of bias is pathetic. i attend anywhere from 5-8 WoO races a year, and i usually have 4-6 people with me. after this bs, i will not support them again.

How do they give it to Rose when the stats show Darrah ahead in every category?

I don't see how they kept Codys money. Kasey Kahne is the car owner. It's Kaseys responsibility to get Cody to sign the contract. The points and money should of been taken from the car owner not the driver. This was explained to me from the attorney that is representing Jason Sides. What Joe Darrah and Cody should do is contact John G. Deckard, 317-803-2456
