I don't care if he was or not. I still don't think the kids should be referred to as "little bastards" just because some of us don't want our kids seeing adults act like total idiots. If we wanted that, then I would choose to take my kids to a wrestling or boxing match instead.

good point.

How bout we watch the video that was reviewed by Lanny Edwards. As soon as I get a copy I will post it on youtube. Then all y'all can see that Sellers DIDN'T woop on bloomquist while he was upside down in the car. And that bloomquist did indeed take out Sellers comming off turn 4. Will that help? I hope so and maybe we can put this petty bickering out to pasture with the rest of the bulls&*t. We'll see this coming Saturday night at Lawton who is first to cross the finishline on lap 20!!!!!

Yes Please! Post that video because we would love to see it! We are huge Sellers fans and were there that night. I never saw Robert throw a punch at Bloomquist while he was in his car and I too thought that Bloomquist could have avoided Robert on the straight away.

I just want to know what exactly people are supposed to do after they get taken out in a race? These drivers and crews put a LOT of work and their time and money into these cars. For most of these people racing is their life. And if I understand correctly now they are not supposed to get upset when someone wrecks them and tears up their car? I just don't agree with that. Yes, it may not be good for young children to see all of this but it has been a part of racing forever. How boring would our sport be if people were just like "oh well, that stinks" and showed no emotion? This is not like basketball or football where after the game everything is over. Unless you're in a racing family or have been around it much, you will never understand the hours people put into these cars during the week and the sacrifices made and hours spent away from family just to go live your dream on weekends. People's lives are on the lines everytime they strap into one of these cars and i fear people forget how bad one of these cars can hurt people. Something they don't like happens on the track and so they use their car to retaliate. A lot of these people are spending every cent they can save to live their dreams and drive a racecar(myself and cheese fall into this category). How would you feel if you had to save for a month to make your car payment and someone came and smashed your windshield and slashed your tires and there was nothing you could do about it? well...... enough for my morning rant. This will hopefully get this thread to go a little longer. This thread will be remembered for a long time...... maybe something we'll have to tell our grandkids about some day. LOL

It all boils down to the track owner not taking the proper action over the years and treating everybody the same.If the officials would handle the rough driving and the fighting the same for everyone we would not had to have this post again and again every single year.

No its not just Lannys track that the attendence is down but after checking other race track websights it seems to be a lot worse at Lawton than others. A LOT WORSE. So take it for what its worth and if you see a racer thats not ben there, ask him why hes not. I know why we are not. Oh and another thing ask Lanny if he would strap himself in a racecar and light it on fire at Lawton just to check out the response time of the emergency crew.

I've never done anything every weekend that i hated so much so i don't know why you'll keep going back and giving Lanny more of your money if it's that bad. I'm sure we will see you next weekend, giving Lanny more of your money. Smile and for all of you "know it alls" lets see one of you try and buy a race track and run it, now that would be funny!

bobcat that was the perfect response man. i would shank it into a 5 paragraph rant about god knows what. great post.

when there is show in this state like what is at sfs - nothing against meeker or ardmore - but it is one of the best shows in the state. good car counts in 4 of the 5 classes. and an awesome facility - I honestly think the general impression among the vast majority at SFS - is that Lanny isn't doing the best that could be done with it. not for a lack of capability - but due to a lack of effort and efficient decision making. and i think most in lawton feel it ain't gas prices is why that show is so terrible - but because of the promoter. sure there are circumstances and every track has em. there just seems to be a general disregard for giving it a good and strong effort.

this isn;t meant to bash or take this thread back into the negative. but to explain why i think this thread ever started and turned into a near record breaker for the forum. most of us dont want this kind of stuff to think about. we just want good racing and for lanny to do the best he can do. in effect - this thread and those before it and those to come - - - - - - are for the lack of effort in addressing problems and issues. we all have different thoughts of what those problems and issues are - but most seem to agree there is one common factor .....

Personally I just hope that this friday is a really good show - with as few problems as possible. thats all. i'm tired of it being something different each week to complain about. i want to see a good show and some good promoting and officiating. i think most can agree on that.

I do agree with you. We love racing and look forward to a good show every week at SFS and Lawton. Sometimes we see some really good racing and feel good about the $ we paid to get in.

So think how much better it would be if Lanny put as much effort in to promoting and fair treatment of the drivers - as the drivers put in to their cars and putting on a good showSmile So thank you drivers for all you do!!!

A few question come up everytime I see the bitchin about Lanny and his effortless efforts to get more drivers to run at his tracks and the blatant favoritism for some of the chosen few.

1) Does the LSRA or ORA have any say in the rules and bulls^*t that takes place at Lanny's events?

2) Can we as fans of racing go to the City or Fair Board with our concerns for SFS and the way it is run?

Smith;you will never know unless you ask them.It is a good question though. The average Bob would more than likely get know where just by asking,This forum gives everyone a somewhat power and advantage to get the points across by posting the replies they get.If enough people inform LSRA or ORA about what they want to see, perhaps changes will be made.Damn, this post almost sounds intelligent, I gotta quit that.

I agree with you Grandpa, I mean J.D. The fair board would love an excuse to close SFS. We as racers and fans don't need to give them that excuse. There is no easy answer to this dilema. Lanny wants a big car count, but is not willing to change to get it. By the way, that is a good looking grandbaby!

Yes you are complete correct Henning is good kid. He is not cheating nor racing dirty. Just because the Nunleys help him with is car does not make him bad. He is not a cheater.....Just a finally got the right set up in his car and is kicking a$$. If that upsets everyone then sorry. I am sure that if the nunleys were to help someone else out then everyone would be takling about them.

if you would have ever looked the nunleys had to show and tell henning how to set his car up or he would still be sputtering off the turns
