Indianapolis 500 teams spend a lot more than $2.6 million (which the winner received) to race the 500.

A lot of the Sprint car teams in the A Feature at the Knoxville Nationals spend a lot more than $150,000  to  win a $150,000.(I think that what it pays to win.)

I know they are both Prestigious races  for any driver to win.  Spending $200 thousand for a chance for $3.6 million seems to me like the biggest winning paycheck ever for a sprint car team, and would equal any Knoxville national win.

Some on else on this post mentioned about why a group of investors wouldn’t pursue partnership in a deal to win the race.  Great Idea in my  eyes.  The winner wins the race and pays all contractual partners back the 200 G’s. Or why hasn’t WRG, Kville and Quiring partnered up for it.  Is WRG still that financially broke.  Does Kville or Quiring really even want Hust’s open. Kville barely gets 24 cars on a regular night and Jacksonville  barely has any weekly 410 shows.  Could be bad for Buisness in their eyes.

Brennan’s dangling the carrot  and kind of rubbing it in the sprint card worlds face all at the same time by doing this.  Is what he’s doing wrong by not just selling it at close to appraised value. Yes.  Is Brennan offering a chance for somebody to win the biggest ever paying sprint race.  Yes.  Either way you look at it, the race happens or it sits empy forever.

This is great until you realize they are actually getting something out of the money spent on those races. Take Knoxville for example, let’s say you spend 150k preparing (probably to much anyway) you still get the prize money from your qualifying nighg and Saturday AND the car/engine still has plenty of value and use after Knoxville. Not even remotely the same as paying 200k to just enter the race.

So is Chuckles gonna put up a booth at the Nationals under the grandstands advertising the biggest show EVAH?

Wonder how many people have bought their tickets already.

I'm beginning to think he must own stock in the Argus Leader?

What kills me is that no one questions facts from Chuck's stories.

Maybe Vegas needs to get involved. Find some risk takers to hire teams to shoot for the prize. Maybe the teams could even get paid to show up to represent Mr Richman and 17 others who have so much money they just want to keep others from winning. I think I said it before but it's a good movie plot but SD ain't Hollywood.

A little creative financing is in order here.

Chuck wants 3.6 mil for a track he put in

18 mil.   So, you get Chuck to sign a zero

down contract. You go to his bank and get an

18 mil mortgage, pay Chuck off, and invest the

rest !        Oh Happy days.  !

Read the "how this race came about" arrival on Husets.com and Chuck says hes hoping to come out of this race with 6.3 million.

HUGE if.

Not if you are a world class sprint car driver.   I am sure everyone that is entered is 100% confident that they are going to win the money.

Just got a huge, unsecured loan from Dollar Loan Centers! Gonna try and coax Doug Wolfgang or Chuck McGilvary out of retirement to try and win this thing! Both got plenty of laps around this place!!!

You better win cause you'll need most of that 3.6 mil to pay back your loan with the interest they charge!

The cost to put the car on the track is the same for both races so the only comparison that matters is the entry fee into the races.

The Knoxville Nationals has a pretty low entry fee, $100 for the car and $30 pit passes for the crew.

Compared to a $200,000 entry fee....

This race at Wasteland's isn't going to happen.  Its just another stupid idea upChuck throws up to keep his name in the media.

Or if you win, it's like winning the Nationals 24 time's in a row in one night... 1 in 18 chance are pretty good odds for the rich.

Unless Chuck retired in the last two weeks, 101 is not retired (so he's probabably your guy for this $#!+ show).  He's been racing 360's @ Jackson, MN this season.

Thanx,
Bruce

I honestly think this whole thing was just to keep reminding people that the track is still for sale. And what a better time to do so than the heart of racing season. Its all PR stunt....and his personal PR person who puts out these press releases for him needs to have somebody help with spelling and grammar.

I believe they only reason he came up with this plan is because he thinks a big money opertion out there will sponsor and fund all 18 drivers.  This is a win for CB in that he will collect gate, concessions, and other (sponsorhips, vendors, etc).  The winner gets a huge tax invoice and CB unloads the track for what it is likely worth (assessments and all).

I'd be most worried about what DOES NOT come with owning the track.  I'd love to see the contract that is drawn up for the winner.  I have a feeling the way it is now, that contract still has some money making portion for CB to be involved somehow in the track. Like a zero to lose everything to gain type of investment or stake.

Says he has 10 drivers now?  8  more to go? Am I getting too excited over something that still wont happen or is there hope?  I still dont trust Chuck....but....???

My question.  Could the racers/teams make side deals?  That is: team up.  Like for instance you could have 3-4 team owners or racers that are friendly with each other say "if one of us wins we all win" and share the track / management of track.

Or is that just way out of bounds type of thinking?
