This might be something the Sides attorney should do, maybe the attorney and courts can view all contracts that all drivers and teams signed and see actually how much discrimination is going on.

Discrimination? Hmmm... I think it would all boil down to what was in the contract that both parties signed. Whether it was *fair* or *non-disciminatory*(?), really doesn't change much of the outcome.

Question?, You say a contract is a contract. Have you read the WOO contract? The contract doesn't address a penalty on running races outside the Woo circuit. So do you think that $40,000 is a fair fine? Do you think that taking his money that he has already earned is fair? I see that as stealing something that doesn't belong to them. I don't see a problem with giving him a penalty if he was in the wrong. Suspend him from racing for the next two or three races. The problem there is they needed him for there car counts at races. A contract should be for each and every driver and should be followed by each and every driver. No other teams or drivers should be allowed to do something that the other guys can't do. I think thats discrimination in its self. As far as Donny running his agreement shouldn't be any different than Sides. I still say that WRG is stealing his money! They have a few days to do the right thing and end this thing, all they need to do is pay the man his money he earned and make things right across board for all drivers and clear the unclear up in thier so called contract!

woohoo- Could you post a copy of that contract that know the details about please? I think that would be an interesting read. Thanks

Remember when Jimmy Sills wanted to go race somewhere else he would call himself Luke Warmwater. All the drivers need an Ailis.

If I were Sides I would go with the name Donny Schatz or Brad Sweet....

Jason and his boys have ALL of my support. I love the outlaws, but this is total bullshit.

I sent my thoughts to WRG and got this replyback from Tom Deery 40 minutes later. I recommend that those of us want to support Jason, send a e mail to WRG and tell them how you feel.

Bud,

Thank you for your e-mail and sharing your thoughts. We
agree and know very well who our customers are and work very hard at providing
a fan friendly and entertaining event for the track promoters who schedule a
World of Outlaw event.

Since this has become a matter for the courts, we are unable to
comment on the particulars. I agree that this is very disappointing situation.
As with every argument, there are two perspectives. At this stage, absent
of knowing the facts, only personal bias will dictate your position.

I can only ask you defer your judgment until you understand all
the particulars.

Thank you again for your support of sprint car racing.

Tom

Thats amazing how the guy can reply to your email, yet wont return calls to the person thats involved in all this. As for the declining to make a comment about the situation,it doesnt even HAVE to be a matter for the courts to settle IF he just made that ONE SIMPLE PHONE CALL!!!!!!!!

Just plain ignorance if you ask me!

A guy asks where can you run for the money that WRG pays, well, It's not to hard to figure out the outlaws pay 10k for a win, unless, the decide to lower that purse on thier decision. But anyone can go run the race and turn around and run another race at any other track! The outlaws schedule sucks! They should have a schedule of at least 80-90 races per year and keep thier members racing! Look at the schedules the last few years I know you can't blame woo on the weather but come on schedule alot of races for the ones that rain out. These guys trying to make a living, busting thier asses going coast to coast. They sit for days without racing sometimes, with hotel exspenses, food exspences, fuel exspenses, and that is a huge exspense! These teams need to say the hell with WRG and all of them need to do thier own things, I say get a group of drivers together and call up these tracks that WRG runs on a regular basis and say, we are no longer with the woo group but would be happy to bring you one of the greatest shows on dirt for alot less than WRG wants to charge you. Stop lining the pockets of people like Carter, Deery, and Geisler and the rest of the ying yangs. I would be happy to go watch Jason Sides, Donny Schatz, Steve Kinser, Kraig Kinser, Lucas Wolfe and whoever else that will stand up to these assholes that want to steal money from a team that goes out and busts thier asses to follow a series that doon't give a shit about drivers, teams or sponsers. I hope Jason Sides does what he plans on doing. Us fans need to stand up for this guy and start calling and sending letters to WRG and let them know how wrong it is to treat teams this way! Piss on you WRG!

I believe this was the concept that led to Ted Johnson to originally found the WoO. guys were traveling as independent contractors, picking and choosing on their own. Johnson saw an opportunity to organize this band of travelers into an official touring group with a name. Hence, we now have an organized group that is far from the original outlaw concept; which by the way goes back before USAC, or WoO to the days when auto racing in the so-called major leagues was governed by the AAA.

I'm about sick of the whole mess. I go to the races to have fun, for something fun to do on the weekends. Politics and people who can't work together suck the fun out of the sport, we see enough of that in the news every day. I might have to a give it a rest for a while.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3

Again Double Standards with the World Racing Group! It was ok for other drivers and teams to race it why not the 7s? In April Craig Dollansky, also, a signed member of the WRG raced a race in Burlington Iowa. That was on April 23, 2011. It states he started 6th in the A-main and finished the race. That also was a non-sactioned race. Was his tow money cut? Was his money that he earned stolen from him by WRG? DOUBLE STANDARDS! I hope Jason Sides and Sides Motorsports mops the court room floor with these jackasses.

the Grand Forks race was actually a race that was scheduled for Minot ND, but with the flooding and concerns that the Nodak Speedway would not put back together for other reason or reasons so THEY (WoO ) moved the race in Grand Forks, in my opinion, to keep the drivers from going to West Fargo, for the Wednesday night show, Schatz, since his family leases the track he was exempt..Brad Sweet drove the

49 car as Joey Saladna was still out with his injury..but I do believe they're were two Cars from Kasey Kahne racing that night as the great clips cars was there as well..so the arguement about being too close to an outlaw is kinda bogus as the West Fargo date was set in the winter..the Minot show that was moved to Grand Forks was decided on that summer approx ( don't quote me on it but a month before ) so Jason Sides may have a point on this one and sure hope he wins !!!!

Thats exactly right 27racer!

But did you also know that Danny Shatz approached the Outlaws about having a WoO race at Fargo either the night before OR after the ASCoC race there & pay $12,000 to win!! But the Outlaws DECLINED the offer to take one of the 2 rainouts there because it was IN SLS TERRITORY!!!!

That is FACT!!

Good luck Jason!! I'm amazed that Jason has to stand alone on this issue. The other drivers IMO should stand by him. Boycot the finals until this is resolved. That would get their attention.

I agree with you! I wished those guys would back Sides, but, they won't. A few of those guys have the balls to do this but most are a bunch of kiss ass pansies. Would of loved to went to the finals this year, the old lady had to much on my honey do list. I have a couple of friends there and they told me Sides wasn't even allowed to park with his fellow woo racers. He always parks with the 11 and was made to park elsewhere! Now that sounds like a bunch of friggin women making up rules as they play there games against the guy! Shows you what kind of people that WRG has working for them. I would like to put a foot up some asses about right now! Maybe it's a good thing I'm not at the Finals.

i just remembered i was supposed to remember to
remember something but cant remember what i was
supposed to remember.

I would sure hope not, that's brilliant revenge executed flawlessly. Sure he could have whipped Sammys butt in the pits but yanking his wires is a pure class move against the canker sore of our sport. I just wish I could have seen it in person.
Cheers!
