It's not that complicated.  The IRA is very weak.  If Balog was running 10 years ago he wouldn't be dominating .  He's running against maybe 3 good drivers.  The rest of them don't belong in a 410.  He's not cheating.  He's one of the best the IRA has ever had.  I think Whitney and Geodon in their primes were better. They raced against much tougher competition.

balog must have missed the setup because the track was actually decent that wilmot is the biggest shit hole in wi i think its because steve sinclaire likes it someone will get seriously injured in that heap they call a grandstand before they replace it luckly i only go there once a year when theres good drivers around. thats all i have to say see eveyone at a real sprintcar race the knoxville nationalls were balog prolly wont be im sure his motor will blow up on the dyno yet he will make every ira show with a screaming motor mabe sinclaire will borrow him one he seems happy about destroying his own series. car count is down fans are down

I've been going to Wilmot for over 50 years and they do have REAL sprint car racing! I also went to Waukegan, Hales Corners, Santa Fe, Lake Geneva and Cedarburg and all these tracks have been CLOSED!  I've also been to Ascot, Santa Marie, San Jose, Hanford, Eldora, Cedar Lake, Big H, Devils Bowl, Williams Grove and countless more short tracks across the US. Been going to the Nationals for over 25 years and I'm going again this year.

Before you start bashing Wilmot and Sinclair just remember that if Wilmot goes away, how many hours will you have to drive to see ANY race on dirt or pavement???? Wilmot may not be perfect but I know that Sinclair is tryint to make improvements while keeping the admission price reasonable. It takes big weekly crowds that spend big money so they can make the necessary improvements. I suggest that everyone support thier local track before they are closed!

Your comment about Sinclair WANTING people to get hurt is just plain stupid and ignorant and doesn't warrant a conversation.

Balog is the best racer to come out of the IRA in many years. Yes, the competition has been less over the past few years but I blame that on the economy as every IRA races is sponsored by local businesses. Big time racing take big dollars!

The disrespect and plain old garbage a few people are saying about the IRA are getting out of hand. It is a shame that these persons feel the need to bash the IRA day in and day out. They obviously attend races to have the base knowledge they show but the constant lies, opinions, and silliness shown is uncalled for. Crowds are strong with the IRA. BIG crowds at Plymouth, Wilmot, Dodge Co, Rice Lake are proof of that, not to mention Oshkosh and Beaver Dam have been good too, and Cedar Lake with the horrendous weather was certainly respectable. All these tracks keep bringing IRA back so they must be doing something right. Average car count is over 30.Not many series, if any, can drag 20 plus of their own members cars and crews 5 plus hours to support a travel show in this economy. But the IRA does. These malicious attacks regarding the series by a few negative people are nauseating untruths. I feel very fortunate to be able to go to the IRA shows and film them. If you take the time to see some of my videos you will always see huge crowds and good racing. I call on all IRA supporters to just ignore the 3 main trolls in which two are most likely the same guy. Just ignore their comments and off the cuff opinions and we can have our own meaningful conversations. I for one will not reply to any of the nonsense.

I know that I am totally guilty of what you are talking about.  I find it hard to NOT reply, but I do anyway.  I have to muzzle myself and stop also.  I let it get to me, and that is what they want.  In defending the IRA, and answering to these clowns, it brings a negative ring to the IRA and I do not want that.  I like what the IRA brings to the table, Sprint Car racing.  I will stop replying also.

I wonder what one has to do, on this site, to get banned?

Well said Jeff. These (this?) troll(s) seem to me like they live in an environment in which someone is constantly criticizing them, breaking them down. Like an overbearing, controlling mother figure, girlfriend, boss, etc. They want to feel powerful, and public forums like this are the only place they can get away with it, without actual physical repercussions. 99% of IRA fans are great, I hope people on here don't get the wrong impression. It would be great if people traveled here occasionally to see some great sprint car racing. & lastly, yes, Wtf does someone have to do to get banned on here?! If I were a moderator, I'd be banning trolls relentlessly, with the slightest bit of provocation. This doesn't need to be a democracy, it can be a dictatorship. If all an individual can provide is needless bashing & awful grammar/punctuation, what purpose do they serve? Shoot, maybe I'll start my own forum...

Lastly, what other IRA fans are going to Knoxville for the nationals?! I didn't think I'd be able to do it, but I'm finalizing plans to be there Friday & Saturday! Super excited!

Wrong impression?  If it wasnt for the "trolls" people around the country would think this was some outstanding series on par with the WoO's.  it's the weakest series in the country.  Btw, using the word "troll" is mind of gay.

I will be at the Nationals again for the whole 410 show. I will most likely be in turns 1 and 2 filming.

I will definitely come & say hello Jeff. Meant to at beaver dam & then Wilmot this past weekend, but couldn't find the time. I'm absolutely elated that I'm actually going to be able to go this year.

Plymouth had Tomy Steeart.  Wilmot had All-Stars.

Agree with Gunner. What you guys who bash the IRA don't realize is the IRA sponsors see this stuff online and wonder what kind of group they are supporting. This has come straight from Steve at drivers meetings when he gets questions about stuff posted on this board. In a round about way they are hurting the organization and before you know it there will be no series. Nothing wrong with good conversation about racing but a lot of the posts just make us look foolish.

As momma says "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything"
