Is that enough like you want people to stop putting their memories of a guy who was a great racer on here or is that enough that you want other people to quit recognizing what a great person Hockett was?

What's wrong with some of you people? OK, Rocket's cousin is still in grief and he hurts for his friend. So he keeps saying stuff (on a message board I mind you) to remember his cousin.
Somebody still hurts over the loss and some of you are "inconvenienced" because you have to read past a bumped up thread? Good grief people.

i did not know there was a limit or a law stating family or friends are not allowed to remember and do there thing when someone dies. i also did not know that there are people out there like you who actually had the nerve to basically tell someone to stop posting about someones death by remembering them or sharing stories! thats fd up man! you dont have to read the thread, you have a scroll down key!!

I think that his cousin and friends have a right to post and remember Jesse on his birthday. You have a scroll bar on your computer, and no one makes you click on the thread. Please have some respect for these that Jesse left behind, especially family.

Jesse "the rocket" Hockett here is my vote. I seen this great man race christmas last year here in "Brisbane" Australia... He was an amazing sprintcar driver and also just as amazing person.. He would be the last person to leave the track after signing hats and shirts. Jesse you are true CHAMPION.

1st: Sprint25, Big Slim, and RRLugNut....
Take some advice from some of the other members. If you either DO NOT SUPPORT Jesse being inducted into the NSCHoF, or simply the bumping of this thread, why are you wasting your time to click on it, read it, then reply to it?? And as far as this specific post goes, I WILL continue to bump, and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump....and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump....and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump....and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump, and bump....and....probably bump another time or two, or three, or four, UNTIL Jesse gets inducted into the NSCHoF, and which point I might bump another 100 times just to get a rise out of you guys. So, just like if Jesse was to show up at a race, just get used to having to deal with this thread, cause it aint goin anywhere (but the top!).
2nd: Bill W., 4-time 15, Usac Fan, KOP, BeersFriends&410's, Sprint_fan55, KitKat, and racer 84....
Thanks for the support. Bill, THANK YOU SOOOOOOO much, when can we expect to hear a decision? I appreciate you all, some which I've gotten to know over the years personally and those that I will in the future, that have supported Jesse in the past, shared favorite stories, and those who actually like hearing some of the things I post on here....i know some posts are a word or two, and yeah, I'm just bumping it back to the top, but thanks for not being an A-hole about it....

Well, you know how much I love you cuz. When we were on the road, or I was somewhere talking about you, it was ALL HOCKETT ALL THE TIME,no matter what! Someone had something to say negatively about you, or even just not as big of a supporter, I was there to try and make it clear that you were the best. Remember out there at Gas City, at the Frolic....lol, me and brit were letting them have it! We sure do miss you man. I'm not at all excited about racing anymore and it doesn't surprise me. I watch old video clips and get pretty excited (you'd think I was watching it for the first time, lol), and random people have actually gone out of their way to dig up some old video and photos that they have....you've made quite the impact on the sport Jess. Hope you and Daniel are up there givin' 'em hell! Don't worry about some of these nay-sayers down here, I'll hold up my end of the deal....promoting you and scraping mud off your car are the best jobs I've EVER had. Love you.

Actually, i was thinking the other day...."when will i stop bumping these threads?" I thought about it, couldn't come up with a date, or really any reason to stop it. But i figured one of these days I will stop it. After reading some of the negatives from the aforementioned, I probably wont stop for a LONG time....I am like Jesse in a lot of ways. (since Bill W posted his post there were 7 supporters and 3 non-supporters) Jesse would live for that 30% to doubt him, question him, and at times disrespect him....that made his right foot that much heavier and that desire to win that much deeper. For the 30% that don't like the posts/threads that continue to get bumped in honor of Jesse....that feeds my desire to want to bump even longer and more often. That makes me want to work harder and harder at sharing stories, encouraging others to share their stories, and to making sure Jesse is NEVER forgotten. But it will stop one day (maybe on the 1 year anniversary of his last win, or the 1 year of his death), then again, Jesse sure wasn't a quiter....
