Power Slave..... I recall the post that you are referring to that was made by my partner at the time I am sure that Swamp will be glad to verify that I recall that clearly.   I don't recall ever running against the Hoosier Fall Classic.  We did have the first Jim Ford Classic against the 4 crown non wing race at Eldora.  Which both events were greatly attended.  Since then we have sanctioned the major events and been building traditional dates.  In fact the Jim Ford Classic has the same date as the very first one as does our other major events.

As far as my hands being clean they are not I have a obligation to local racing and Fremont Speedway and I have only done things that I feel will keep both growing in the future.  When people interupt your business you are forced to do things that you may not want to do but have to do.  I am not one to back down be bullied or to not stand for what I beleive in.  My team at Fremont and myself will do what is needed to secure the future of Fremont and the local racers that support us. That is first and foremost obligation.  We will continue to build a program at Fremont and the FAST Series for the weekly racer and the fans of Fremont.  Remember this battle is not one that we asked for nor wanted to be part of.  We have been forced to make some tough choices but never doubt for one moment that every choice that is made is done with the consideration of the future of Fremont Speedway and sprintcar racing as the first priority.

One thing that I would like to mention is that Guys statments by no way reflect the feelings of Fremont Speedway or myself.  Greg Wilson and I have had some moments over the years but he has a great part of Fremont History watching him come from the back is something to see.  Danny Smith has been a crowd favorite for many years and it showed when he got hurt the responce from the fans to help him in his time of need.  Tim Shaffer what can you say during the 83 days he dominated Fremont when he was in the house.  These guys all have what it takes to win when they have the complete package.  Anyone of these guys I would put in my car and have success without at doubt.

As far as the Renegade choice that I made for Fremont Speedway it has nothing to do with the talent of the drivers in this group.  The President of the Renegades Shane Helms, his father Larry, and Paul Kistler all know what has lead to my decision on this matter.  Those same men are people I have great respect for and we have both done things to help one another over the years.

Welp, it hasn't taken long to get to the absurd. Reminds me of a mini NST vs WoO 2006 debate which sent sprint car racing back 5 years by the way.

There are quite a few valid reasons why the NST and now the Renegades were created. The original sanctioning bodies were making decisions that some (or most) drivers/owners felt were detrimental.

After seeing and hearing Guy Webb stories over the years, I don't know how anyone can say the All Stars being the only major sanctioning body throughout the Ohio region is good for the competitors, or even fans. From not getting paid in a timely fashion to the travel schedule to trying to force shows in unsafe conditions - I don't know how anyone could say that is the best scenario for the guys and gals that strap in to put on the show for us and field the cars that we love to watch.

It seems no coincidence that those who firmly stand by the All Stars serve to benefit financially from their survival.

How did this send sprint car racing back 5 years..... this is a serious question on your perspective, not a debate.

If you look at the number of races the outlaws had in 2005 versus what they had after the split 2007 onwards, it's night and day. The health of the series took a big hit that it took a while to recover fully from.

By my count, I show 90 nights of WoO racing in 2005 including three in Australia (Outlaws Down Under). I show 94 for 2014.

There may have been some rough years in between but I would bet a lot of money the economic collapse had more to do with the lack of dates as opposed to the split.

All this talk of a series that only brings 1-3 cars makes me feel pretty lucky about something I saw a few years ago. At the time I thought I had been cheated but now I realize how lucky I was this particular night.

I went to a Midwest Allstars show at West Plains, MO a few years ago. Got there fairly early, bought a grandstand ticket, and started trying to count wings in the pits... didn't see very many... no more showed up before hotlaps..

10 cars total fired to put heat in the motors...including one that was a backup car somebody drug out of the trailer and stuck someone in.

1 car wrecked in hotlaps and was done for the night.

1 car had a motor problem in hotlaps and was done for the night.

My 200 mile round trip and cost of admission for me and my wife got me two 4 car heats and an 8 car A main. And let me tell you what.... a sprintcar fan truly has not lived until they have seen EIGHT CARS DO A 4 WIDE SALUTE TO THE FANS PARADE LAP. Such electricity in the air...words cannot convey how impressive a 4 wide parade lap of 2 rows is.

West Plains is a great track to see any kind of open wheel cars on. It always has 2 grooves and is probably the fastest 3/8 mile track I have ever seen. I've seen PowrI micros, PowrI and USAC midgets, ASCS 360s, and WOO 410s all race on that track and they all put on a great show there. And the Midwest Allstars feature there was about as good a show as you could ever expect from an 8 car field.

I was a bit disappointed when I left that night thinking "What could have been" if there had been 2 or 3 times as many cars there, but in hindsight I now realize how lucky I was that I didn't get there and only see 3 sprinters in the pits.

Whatever happens in this newest mess I truly hope that the Renegades are successful, that the FAST series is successful, and that somehow some way the history and tradition of the ASCOC doesn't just become few memories in the minds of people over 40 years old and a bad taste in the mouths of openwheel fans who weren't around in the 80s-90s when the AllStars truly was a great series and a great show with great drivers and great leadership.

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.
