Posse streak at Knoxville Nationals still continues, streaking naked thru the hotels after not making the A main. PS The Knoxville regulars did a great job at this year's nationals. I don't recall any of their fans making asses out of themselves on this forum after the Nationals----- or more importantly on a regular basis.

Didn' the Posse go 6, 10, 11 at Nationals this year?

Knoxville regulars did a great job at the Nationals? Tim Shaffer is not a Knoxville regular. Unless You are trying to claim him.

Come back when you win 9 in a row.

Davey Heskin driving the family owned 56 with two wins his whole career and 12th in knoxville points went from 16th to 8th in the A. Brown did start on the pole but thankfully that didnt last long and he finished 14th. Josh Schneiderman from the B got the last transfer and drove to 13th in the A. Dusty zomer takes 16th. skip 23rd and Madsen an ex-local takes 5th. how many posse members do you claim to be in the A?

8th to 3rd in a heat race is faltering? I suppose Schatz can consider himself lucky Sammy didn't take him out when trying to pass him. Now I know what Cubes means when he says Sammy can't hack it as a member of the Posse. haha

WHY IN THE HELL would Sammy want to "hack it as a member of the posse"? I think he's plenty happy taking $50,000 from them and moving on down the road to more big $$$. You boys can keep your chump ass local purses until next spring!!!

nice try - I had a Sammy shirt on...and that move he layed on Schatz in the heat to retake 2nd place was the crowd pleasing moment - the place went nuts as Schatz faltered once again.on Posse Soil.

You say Schatz faltered once again? You make it sound like that is the norm for him out there, dont you? You never once mentioned in any of this banter that Mr. Schatz is the ONLY 4 time winner of this event. Not even one of your famed drivers out there can say they have won it 4 times. Heck, if you want to throw in a guy named Wolfgang from South Dakota, that would add up to 7 Williams Grove Open wins for the Dakota's (4 North and 3 South). Pretty good numbers for the upper mid-west if you ask me. Go ahead and spin these numbers any way you want, but at some point, I would think you would give Donny the respect as a sprint-car driver that he deserves. I'd say the cheering in Saturday's heat race wasn't so much all the Sammy fans, it was more the Posse fans cheering to keep Donny out of the dash. It was pretty much a cheer of relief as Donny just missed the dash and a possible 5th Grove Open win if things went right. (Some local NOT taking him out again). I'd say it was more a nervous cheer hoping Sammy could keep him out, not a fan favorite cheer for Sammy. Carry on now BRR, as I am sure you have more webs to weave on this subject.

How many Knoxville regs in the feature field at the National Open this weekend? The Knoxville season is long over and not a single team is willing to step up and make the tow for a $50,000 to win race? See how stupid this agument is?

Obviously the Grove Open isn't as big of race as the Nationals. Did you see any California guys at the Grove? I saw some at the Nationals. Did you see any IRA or ASCS national guys at the Grove this past weekend? I saw some at the Nationals. Are you starting to understand any of this yet? Yep, PA has some great racers out that way, it's just that much of the nation doesn't care about it as much as they care about the Knoxville Nationals.........the biggest and most difficult sprint-car race in the country, if not the world to win.

LOL Last year's King of California moved to PA to race and declared it a much tougher circuit on his way out the door and throughout the 2010 season.

Wow! Your telling me a race-car driver in the USA moved to a diferent region to race? That's something that has never happened before! (rolls eyes sarcastically). Also what was this guy supposed to say when he got there. "This place is chump-change compared to where I came from last year?" Anyone is gonna say something like that anywhere they happen to move to. It's a natural human reaction. Ya know the old saying "the grass is always greener........", not always, but it's an old saying. All-though, PA probably has a different and better saying.

Many teams have the same equipment now and the depth at the Grove is second to none. The Posse SHOULD win at the Grove. They run there every week and have their stuff dialed in.

Nice ... looks like the imbecile post of the year. Using this theory we should be able to say that the teams that run Knoxville have the same equipment and they certainly bring depth as it is their home track and there are quite a few Knoxville regulars last I checked, so the Knotheads SHOULD win at Knoxville. They run there every week and have their stuff dialed in. Maybe we should say any area that has at least say 3 to 5 decent sprint car teams should be able to beat the touring boredom nine times straight at their home track too ... but guess what you're not EVER going to say that except in one place, the capital of local sprint car racing worldwide, central PA. Get over it, take your jealousy elsewhere and quit trying to piss on the parade because you don't have the talent in your local area to beat the touring bore once let alone nine times in a row.

looks like all those posse past winners are guys who tried the WOO series and went back home,

I use to always love when a local done well and was thrilled when they won, but the few crazy posse fans sure give the lucky thousands of posse fans a bad impression

ding ding ding,, we have a winnnnna

Do you go to your favorite football teams game and cheer when the opposing team takes the lead in the 1st quarter... or do you cheer when opposing team throws a pick 6 and your team goes up by 14?

BTW, Wolfie might have been Posse for some (or all) of those wins,, he was in Weikerts car

Congrats to the Posse for an impressive string of 9 consecutive wins at the Grove Open. That streak came to a deadend via Sammy Swindell (King of the True Outlaws), Tod Quiring (Sprint Car owner of the Year - 2010) and the BGTS #1 Team.

How does 1 or 2 bad Posse fans make the other thousands seem bad? Do you go to races at Williams Grove and talk with any of "other" Posse fans?

I'm guessing you must based on your statement.

But....

The people that have NEVER ventured to the Grove seem to make some pretty bold generalizations wink

Hey dirtracer84, Schatz is Not the only 4 time winner! Steve Kinser has also won the National Open 4 times. He won in 90, 92, 94 and in 03.

Why not? Running the Outlaws is a lot easier, all you have to do is cut a good lap. Starting 12th every week is a real bitch.

First off, it's not 9 consecutive Grove Open wins, it is 9 consecutive Outlaw wins. As your buddy Nelligan always says, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

Sammy Swindell is NOT Posse; either is his team or crew; just because he said he is No Outlaws does NOT make him Posse; it means he races where he wants and where he wants !
