Out of curiosity, when was the last time the Nationals had an open tire rule?
|
After reading all of the comments on how Goodyear is ruining sprint car racing, I would have to imagine this is the first year the WoO or the Nationals have had a tire rule.

The problem with goodyears is not them spinning. they are just coming apart. holes appear through the blocks and out the side sometimes and they start pealing apart like a dry rotted tire at the seam. my first goodyear i bought is doing it. it doesnt show signs of blistering or getting too hot. i race on a budget and reuse my tires and this spec (usualy cheap but not these) tire rule is going to run me out of racing because these tires are junk. bring back hoosiers they care about the racers not the $$$ goodyear must have made these molds in chile. like the tires that made them disappear from the sport before. theres no quality when you save money and send your manufacturing overseas

speaking of stuff manufactured overseas. a lot of people dump on triple x doing manufacturing off shore. i haven't heard anyone complain about goodyear.

GOODYEAR IS ONLY FOR GETTING THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe if you're lucky.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Well all types of racing tires they make might "suck," as so eloquently stated, but I sure get good mileage on their car tires!

Don't we really deserve some answers from the tire company or from those who know ? It was Sammy Swindell's race , he drove and ran better then anyone , but I am glad Tim Shaffer won , as he is a class guy . But then again winged racing is providing only the winners to come from the front two or three rows ? Isn't it time to unlock these cars more so you as fans see even better racing instead of single file or follow the leader type of racing ??

Yes. We DESERVE some explanation!
I think they have it "in" for sprint cars.
Why, you NEVER see a Goodyear blow on Sunday when you are watching the taxi cab cars!
