racefan227, If they are using a laser to grade the corners that could be a problem. You can't use lasers on turns, you need the new 3D systems that use either GPS or an ATS for position information. I tried to talk Larry into buying one before they started the track prep, I heard back once, but that was it. Maybe the price was an issue, they aren't cheap!

No kidding 3D and maybe a helicopter overhead to boot. How did they ever get it right all those years without that stuff is what I'll never know.

...like I said it was not ideal conditions...hard to say what the track will be like when it has been given proper care and had a few races run on it...
...I do know that more then one driver said that it is very hard to enter the corner on the top now due to the configuration...One driver said that he thought it was just a matter of current setups needing to be adjusted to the new track...by the end of the night the usual suspects were finding their way to the top (Haud, Saldana, Dollansky, Chaney)...
...when they come back in June, that will give a better idea of what the Royal will be like...I just think it's a joke to crucify Eldora and its staff based on the ONE and ONLY night of racing they've had on a new surface...stay tuned...
...BRR...like the guy/gal said, you can always sell your tickets and go to a movie or baseball game instead of the Kings Royal...whatever !...
