That 26 - 0 deal is almost the same as the Posse vs. the Outlaws in Florida this past decade, heck through in some of the All-Star races that the Outlaws ran and it might be higher, sweet mother Mary.....

Car counts are low but talent is high.

Dewease, Monteith and Dietrich (mostly motor issues) continue to struggle and Hodnett just coming off injured reserve probably will be off his game a tad. I think best bets for Posse victories are Rahmer and Kreitz. Regardless, it'll be great racing and if an AllStar wins, who cares? With Blaney, Hannigan, Shaffer, Holtgraver (and using Calif rules we should claim the last two as Posse), and the other invaders including Sweet and TK, should be a great weekend.

I m sure Knoxville is its own league for one week a year. I hear the National Open isn't a terrible 2nd from people that have done both. I love 410s, but After going to the Indy 500 as a kid back in the CART days, I think I've peaked on 'atmosphere'. Hope not, but that's been awhile and I still feel that way 250+ live races later.

Obviously many people only make it to Knoxville for the Nationals or for WoO shows. The weekly show at Knoxville is as good and sometimes better than the WoO shows. As I'm sure goes the same for Williams Grove.

As a paying fan of approximately 48 years to Williams Grove Speedway........I offer the following thoughts. No streak lasts forever. The 2013 version of the PA Posse is the weakest I have seen in decades. Fading, burned-out or injured stars, young pup drivers who lack sufficient race funds and short fields of cars. This, my friends, is a recipe for disaster! The All-Stars have gotten significantly better in the last two years, and if motivation means anything, the All-Stars may finally get their pay back. Unfortunately, while the Posse is certainly in a decline, the All-Stars may just be ready to put it together and climb Mount Williams Grove! I plan on being at the GREED on Friday night. In an odd way, after watching the All-Stars get creamed all these years........to see them win......hey, they finally f*#king earned it! The All-Stars can start a new losing streak at Williams Grove Speedway in 2014. E-Mods. Note: If the PA Posse gets stopped by the All-Stars, what happens when the World of Outlaws crowd rolls in? Custer at The Little Big Horn stuff, with the Posse in the roll of Custer? Ugly thoughts.

The Outlaws just got pounded in CA/NV, the Posse should be able to do the same at the Grove.....

The Posse is definitely as weak as it's been since I've been here. No Layton, Esh or Leppo at the Grove hurts. Fred is really fast and can win against both the ASCoC and WoO. And if Greg is healthy, obviously he can against both as well. Krietz could be a sleeper this weekend. After that, Dewease is on a decline and last year the only time he was fast was at Knoxville. Young gun Marks took 2 steps forward while Dietrich took that, if not more, backwards. Logan will be a bright spot in the future and hopefully starts getting consistent. This week will be a very interesting test for the Posse and may be a good preview of how things go in May. Going to be a hell of a field.

It only takes 1 guy to beat them. In 2009, the Posse were the absolute class of the field at the Grove that year. In 2010, the gap definitely narrowed, but the streak continued because Hodnett and Lance were just a tick better. There have also been years when 2nd and 3rd place at the Open have been Posse cars and Schatz was the only Outlaw fast enough to win and he did.

I completely agree with that. Last year the 39 could win any race in PA and this year, assuming he's 100%, will be no different. This year, at least thus far, it looks like Rahmer is back to his old ways and can win any race in PA. Posse will get a big boost when Stevie hits the track. Can't imagine he'd be anything but flying out of the gate.

I have to assume you are being sarcastic. You even got Stan to post a (semi) serious post...

We should meet up at Hagerstrain this year ... shouldn't be too hard after all the b!tching PA fans do about it, I'd assume the 2 of us will be the only ones in the stands.

I agree that the Posse aint at its fullest potential compared to recent years but the young talent we have coming up through should be no problem. Ryan Smith, Ryan Taylor, Ryan Wilson, Schuchart, Marks, all very very fast. Marks especially. Now that Rahmer is fast again, Hodnett will be back, and Kreitz is fast as well. I do not think we will have any problems this weekend.
