So some say it was a push truck, some say it was Greg Wilson? Maybe it was Stubb looking for a missing bean bag?

Working woody called in to the officials mentioning that a push truck was out on the track and in the line Donny was driving. Supposedly the lap was called off immediately and hence run a second qualifying lap when the rest are done? If I have that right. Let's not forget what happened to A talented racer a few years back by the name of Sammy when a push truck was on the track. I know some will say they didn't see anything, but seems to me proof of the incident is there and dealt with according to the rules. But It's Donny and not some peoples kind of driver and don't want to acknowledge what he's done and is doing again this year.

I guess I can understand the confusion that there might have been interference but why did they wait so long to send him back out? Seems to me that they could have kept giving him the white flag until they got it right or two clean laps. This "waiting" is what kills the credibility of their decision. Donny's crew should not have been able to get close to the car until this was resolved either.

I agree. I think the rule is after all other cars have finished qaulifying is when they back out to finish their second timed lap.

Actually, that is funny. LOL But back to reality, leave your donuts at home or eat them on the way. Otherwise, they collect too much dust to taste good!!

BRR......You are pitiful . You walk around the racetracks acting like a know-it-all just like you do on here . Everyone laughs at you ,because really , you are are dickhead. Drivers make fun of you , fans make fun of you , and even your so called friends do the same . At least you give us some laughter at your expense and we don't have to even be talking to you. I think it's funny how you run down the WoO all the time , but come race time , you are there giving them your cash. Who's the fool there? Oh , and how about giving us a new update on the return of Al Hamilton? You do know the inside scoop . You've been saying his returning for 3 years now . LOL. I must have missed that . Even the results don't show the car racing. LOL.

Why don't you just shut up and enjoy the races instead of trying to be some kind of racing know-it-all , which the people that know you , know you are not. Read some more message boards and pass it on as truth . Some will believe it , and even if you are lucky , maybe 25% of the rumors may even come through . But I doubt it. You make others from PA look like asses to people outside of PA . Or at least to others that don't know you .Please give us a break from the shit that flows from your BIG MOUTH.

From an PA fan.

Tenter you are talking shit and i dont know him but i can see you really dont like him. i would have to meet him before i judged him cause im not judging anyone on a message board. BRR is entertaining though unlike yourself and im sure when he reads what you say about him he just laughs it off so you have fun looking for a new ole lady while he continues to entertain some of us.

Donny Schatz as a Person vs Donny Schatz as a Racer

Donny Schatz as a Person in my opinion is an ASS! Last year at King's Royal security was leading his royal assness through the stands down to the track and was less then 6 inches from myself and my 7 year old daughter. My daughter was excited needless to say because this was not only her first sprint car race but that she was that close to the winner. She looked right at his royal assness and said I picked you to win in which his royal assness yelled at her "what the f##k did you call me?" She'd was more than stunned. Well being the over protective Mom that I am I wasn't going to let this go. We continued through out the pits where she was able to meet other drivers, receive autographs and experience what sprint car drivers are all about, the fans. However, we reached his royal assness's hauler and she wanted his autograph even after the way he spoke to her but that was not gonna happen without an apology. He did apologize but not until I had a few words with him. I'm sure he does not remember this at all but I do and from that day forward, the first thing I think of when I hear the name Donny Schatz is PIECE OF TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve Kinser as a Person vs Steve Kinser as a Racer

One word for both AWESOME!!!! Previously that same day we took my daughter down to the track to show her what it was like and where the haulers would be etc etc. As we were heading towards the track we passed some of the racer's motorhomes. What luck, Steve Kinser was outside of his and she was able to meet him. That night after the race she had purchased a Steve Kinser shirt and wanted to show him. (7 year old thinking that he would remember her from earlier that day) We went to Mr. Kinser's hauler and he was busy signing autographs, he looked up and called out my daughter by name and said "what are you wearing?" She was elated he remembered her and got her shirt signed. Out of all the fans he see's and speaks with he remembered one little girl and has a fan for life.

Maybe not significant but shows Class vs Trash!!!!!!!

Exactly.

He was that way in 1982 also. Steve Kinser is a rare example of a genuine champion.

Steve Kinser Eldora Interview

so why wasn't donny smart enought to run the top when he saw all the way down the back chute that some one was there? he could have then ran the bottom the next lap and he would have had a chance to have run both lines with no one in his way. he knew the car was there. he knows the top is where you get your momentum.

if the lap was called off right then why did the officials say that donny had to ask for another lap? who makes the calls out there, the drivers on the track or the officials? this is a screwed up deal from the word go. people say that it was handled as per the "unwritten" rule or protocal and this has not been the only time this year it has happened. well just when and with who has it happened with lately? to have a rule that the driver makes the call if he was interfered with is crazy. how does that promote saftey. if the driver can go faster on the lap involving the danger he is going to keep that lap and not cry foul.again, how does that promote safety. the woo has made themselves look totally unprofessional on this.

Everytime I have seen a driver obstructed by a push truck or another car on the track, they just backed out of the gas, the flagman would then throw the yellow while the driver idled around until the track was clear. Then the flagman would go back to green and the driver would complete their qualifying.

It is painfully obvious what really happened. Donny went out and stepped on his dick, when he went in and found out his time, he complained and got another shot.

If the Outlaws knew that they were right and justified, there would have been some sort of penalty or fine for Kinser.

What I later read in the rules was nothing. They need to get something in there about that possibilty because as you wrote, they do look very unprofessional that way. I can also see where people might feel the way they do about the situation, But I was posting on what the rule used to be not too long ago. I think what you saw on the video wasn't the situation, woody called in that a push truck was out in his line, not another car.
