Just curious who besides Sweet and Sheldon have even mentioned wanting to race the HL deal?

Sweet is only one I can see it being worth while if Outlaws hold fast. If he hits a couple home runs might make $500k promoting the races.

The teams that got the PPP money are most certainly businesses. They deserve it as much as any other business.

You're a stupid ass.

NO they don't!  Anything to do with racing should automatically eliminate your business....using the business term should not even apply here. Sorry tenter they don't deserve taxpayer money...not if they are racing.

One thing you'll see one the new Outlaws schedule is released is that the teams will likely be forgoing the traditional California swing and instead heading to Pennsylvania for an early season swing in it's place. This will help many of the teams with cutting costs and will go a long way in smoothing some of the teams concersn in regards to the start of the season. I also believe there will be at least a small bend in regard to High Limit where you'll see them at least able to attend a handful of the events. There are steps being taken to build a better relationship between the carowners/teams and the series.

Now......this will also create a big ripple affect within the All Stars. Because depending what happens up above, they could potentially be a place for the Outlaws to pick drivers from to fill out spots if drivers decided to go on a full Outlaw schedule. In those regards, you'll see the All Stars shortening their schedule by likely a quarter and raising purses to not only cut down on travel and costs, but allow their guys more freedom to persuade them to stay on should the offer to jump to the WoO come about.

So how many employees you think TSr KKR SMR have?  How about Childress Racing?  They are absolutely a business and their employees get paychecks like every other business.  Not sure why you think they don't.

Where are you getting the $30,000 figure and why is anyone at Flo sharing that info?

Not sure where I read it, maybe Area Auto Racing News, a local racing paper in the Northeast. Or maybe it was in relation to what Flo throws in to Castrol Night in America.

Port Royal has the WOO Latemodels & 410 sprint cars on the Sat. that should be the Woo sprint cars weekend in May At Williams Grove. I wondered when I saw that if there was going to be a change in the Outlaws spring schedule.

I was gonna disagree with Strawser as usual, cause this money is a loan, gets paid back, not "ripping off taxpayers" at all....

Until I saw this: "If companies follow spending guidelines such as salaries, benefits mortage interest, rent and utilities then the loan is mostly forgivable."

So now I kind of agree with him but for a different reason. Of course race teams are a business, & its good to keep people employed. But $17 million to Childress, Ganassi & Roush??? Just think of how many lives would be bettered if they used this $$$ to pay rent for homeless people this winter....

I know a couple local small companies that got over a $1,000,000. I don't see a difference between a racing based company , or a small manufacturing company. They all had to keep employees working.

It's called taking advantage of loans. It's the same as calling your business minority owned. There is, or was, because I'm not sure if there are still money's from the feds to support it, millions of dollars. A lot of minority individuals who got money made the claim we are starting a business. Look at the folks from india, these gas stations they own across the country were mostly bought with loans. Most of them are filthy,  drive 95 on the east coast and stop, your tax dollars at work.

When omama care first came out, as a business owner you could apply for a loan to pay for the insurance for your employee's  and then you could raise there deductible to help fund it.  Over 49 employee's you had no choice.  I had to go from 70 to 49 overnight. Omama care was a very wealthy proposition for the business owners that took advantage of it. HB12A followed and we have Spanish speaking workers everywhere. Those folks in blue in Washington keep giving America away and nobody see's it.

They are NOT a business.  They have employees that should be paid through there sponsors NOT taxpayer money.  No way no how should that EVER - EVER - EVER happen!  Over 30 trillion in dept and we the people are sponsoring race cars.  I DON'T think so.  Our country is SO screwed up!   Our leadership can't even figure out what is needs and what is wants.  I want to go to the races and enjoy them - Entertainment.  I need a house to live in and food to eat.  One we can do without....the other we can't.

Typical hoseheads thread actually.   Nearly all of them are largely off topic by the time it gets into the third page.
