For now, race tracks and sanctioning bodies need to stay out of the tire situation. Any tire manufacturer, any compound allowed. 1 tire a night.  No funding point funds, no cut to race tracks, no cut to sanctioning bodies. Tire company to racer plus tax. Thats it. Too many hands in the till and material/labor shortages. 

Maybe someone else would go back to making dirt tires if they would stop making a monolpy out of one company.

Almost identical to Goodyear years ago, only tire you could run, eveybody had there hands out, tires to expensive and they made junk tires. Open it up to the market place.

Sorry to interrupt this week's insult-a-thon, but I have a tire question and thought maybe this would be a good place to ask.

If you told racers they had to put the spec tire on the right rear and anything they could find on the other 3 corners, how would the cars handle compared to using  the current tire rules?

JUST BECAUSE YOU SAY IT DOESN'T MAKE IT THE TRUTH!

A small snip from Hoosier:    (relating to quarter midget tires----but the trend is in every corner of the country)

The limited availability of Hoosier Tires at this time is real. Dealers across the country are reporting thin inventories. and Hoosier production is attempting to keep up with demand.  While shortages of materials have been increasing costs, the real pressure on Hoosier is increasing demand.  In the first quarter alone, demand for quarter midget tires was up 150% over normal 1st quarter sales. That is a significant increase in production that was sold and distributed over normal sales patterns in just the first three months of 2022.  There should be a significant inventory of tires in the the hands of competitors versus this time last year.

What is driving the increased consumption of tires? We are seeing higher car counts and increased participation, along with a greater number of races being held. In fact, at a recent North Carolina club race there were 277 cars!  These kind of exploding numbers, which we are all very excited about, are pressuring the Hoosier system which is already constrained due to material and labor shortages.  However, Hoosier has made and shipped more tires in 2022 than ever before for quarter midget racing! 

We are also seeing panic buying patterns, with some teams stocking up on tires for annual use. This behavior will end up impacting races and events if others have no ability to secure tires. Please bear that in mind when choosing your purchases from Hoosier dealers.

I'll answer that Murphy. It appears we've gotten off on the other BS. It shouldn't affect the cars at all just how they set them up. If they were to go with a hard right rear tire. It would become more of a deal where the driver's skill would show. What it would be like is the boss series down in Texas their rules. Allow any Tire I Believe on the front and the left rear and any Tire on the right rear as long as he's a very very hard Tire. Or something along that line and then it's open cubic inch any motor is allowed. You also have to run the wing at a certain angle. With no cockpit adjuster. I truly think it's some of the best rules in the country when it comes to sprint car racing.

Who cares about spelling?  If you can tell what someone is saying, that is all you need.

I will NEVER stop telling the truth.  Morgan would roll over in his grave if he saw how they prepare that track over the last few years.  Don't you bring him up on this board again.  Let him rest in peace. I am a huge race fan that is why I will not be back until Razor Steve  can prove he can prepare a good track!!  He did the last two weeks, but he needs to continue over the month of May.

I need someone to explain something to me. Why is it when somebody ask something on here about tires. And we get a few people discussing the question about tires. We all of a sudden get a few jackasses that get off the subject and start ripping each other's ass. About nothing more than stupid s*** it seems to happen on just about every post. If you don't have anything to say about the post and the question that was posted. Then just shut the fuk up this is a Sprint car forum. Take all your other BS someplace else
