everyone his age was a jeff gordon or dale fan growing up. if his main goal in life was to race nascar he would have started racing pavement a long time ago. nascar didnt enter is mind as a possibility until a couple years ago. We all know you gotta talk the talk if you want to be in nascar

ps. sorry if i hurt yours and johnnys feelings

umm no he didn't have to start racing pavement a long time ago if his main goal was Nascar. No you don't have to talk the talk to if you want to be in Nascar, no you didn't hurt anyones feelings. Rico, Larson, Clauson, Leffler, Stewart, etc didn't have any late model pavement experience before they went to Nascar (exclude Stewart if you want with the whole IRL thing). Gravel's whole explanation is on his youtube channel where he goes into detail about his life aspirations, as well as interviews in the past. I would say a lot of drivers out there driving sprints have the dream of racing Nascar and its not a bad thing as some on here make it out to be. Its not even a money thing, people are allowed to like Nascar and want to drive. It is just a slim chance that hardly any of them will ever get and I am sure that Gravel didn't know that he would have had the opportunity until maybe a couple years ago.

Fact. Gravel is starting a career, short or long, on pavement with fenders. Why doesnt matter too much.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Thats kind of what i was trying to say , any kid that grew up watching racing in that time period wanted to race nascar. it wasnt a serious notion until a couple years ago

My apologies.  I did not realize you have been in the loop with David and having conversations with him this whole time.  I thought you were just making assumptions.

In what year did he tell you Nascar didn't enter into his mind?  (I'm assuming he told you since you know his inner thoughts)

My bad

Seriously though, I remember an interview with him YEARS ago talking about his ambition to get to stock cars.  So, you're wrong.

just saying stuff doesnt make it true, so you're wrong

So you're calling Gravel a liar? He SAID he wanted to do NASCAR from an early age

Why are we arguing about this????

This is the fun part. When arguements are about speculation and opinion.  My crystal ball is broken so I will sit this one out.  wink

No----you're back peddling.

1.  He did, since an early age, state his desire to run Nascar----he has made public statements about this.  You are claiming Nascar did not enter his brain until a couple of years ago.

2.  As your "proof" you stated if he wanted to go to Nascar, he would have gone the pavement route instead of dirt.  Then, many on here pointed out the drivers who used dirt to get to pavement.  Now, you are pretending you meant something else?

Your ridiculous post was based on speculation that you are calling facts.  The best thing you could do, is move on to another topic or say "my bad"

I agree on some points. While I have no idea if NASCAR was always his goal, my opinion is the same in I don't believe he'll be running to start his own WoO team if he makes it to the cup level.

I'll agree with that, as much as i'd like him to keep racing dirt.

People refer to Larson like he has done it all when I feel his nascar deal has been a failure .... he does not have to beat Gordon,Stewart,or any other people that were good in the past and he still does not win in cup hardly ever so whats he really ever done? The only notable dirt he has won is a prelim night at the nationals and the 4crown now honestly other then that what real notable wins does this unreal talented badass driver people say he is really won??????? Dont jump my shit just list the unreal real notable wins im waiting??? When u list his so accomplished racing background dont include Gokarts or minisprints cause I wont count that hell little girls win that

Finally!  Now Kyle Larson is good!  All of these years we were doubting his talent but now he has won one of your covered races.  With all of those seconds he sucked.  Now, you can finally proclaim him the greatest of all time.   Thanks dirtlover!!
