Didn’t see the whole show but from what I saw it was a pretty good night.  Feature was good.  I have been to gateway dirt in the dome all 3 years. The first year on Friday night it started out ugly but the feature that night was great.  Had a bit of deja vu watching tonight.

Don't be too hard on The Fixxxer, he is the most forward thinking, fair minded poster in the whole friggin' Keystone State.  Easily the kind of fan one could sit next to at any track in the country and enjoy his perspective and thoughts on the races.  To be honest he is one of many from that State who are fair and balanced (where have I heard that before) and a great sprint fan, the rest of 'em generally post in here, lol....

I think maybe you're giving me a little too much credit but coming from you, that means a lot. I'd love the opportunity to bench race with you sometime. I'd love to hear all your stories from your days traveling the country with the best in the business. You have forgotten more than I'll EVER know and that is a fact.

A thousand times better tonight. Fans saw an excellent race.

Just watched the highlights and I agree. Looked like a standing room only crowd too. That's awesome to see. I'm sure there were quite a few sprint car fans there but judging from what I heard from a good friend of mine who is there, a lot of those fans are having their first taste of sprint car racing so it's great that they got to witness what us diehards always brag about. Hopefully a lot of new fans were made right in the heart of stock car country. That's a big win for the sport as a whole. I'm kinda wishing I'd gone now but we saw some good racing here in Posseland this weekend so I can't complain.

Looked like a successful experiment. Nashville regularly sold out the Indy Cars. So it was impressive to see  fans that probably   wouldnt follow winged sprint cars having a good time. Really helped with Tony Stewart and some of the well known USAC drivers. Would be interesting to add other drivers also from other organizations. Be interesting to see what becomes of it.

We were there. Friday was awlful. Alot of wrecked cars. Time trials that took forever, not enough push trucks. Ran into some folks that said they were not going back Saturday and sold their tickets. We decided to try again after all was a first time there will always be some issues. Well much better still work to do though. Sold out disagree as i was in reserved seating and many open seats. But a great crowd hard to move around in the food alley. They improved the time trial running but still took way to long. I hate them anyway and see as a waste of time my opinion. These are boring anyway but make them longer wanted to take a nap. Good feature and racing though with much less carnage. They can improve the following

Ticket price - higher than we ever pay for WOO plus 10.00 to park. Alot for a family                                                               Rework entrance and exit so time trials run faster and more efficient.                            Wider track with alittle banking. Even alittle bigger.         Add back to all seats not just some finish the rest.         Maybe some more food trucks 45 minutes to get a burger is crazy.         No need for another division. If show running to long then no worries a division does not get snubbed. Many tracks do this though and make the show longer than it needs to be.

I caught the feature on Dirtvision last nite.... good racing & looked like big crowd

Maybe some of those folks will realize how much better dirt track sprints are than "that other thing"....

And you say you're not a Posse cheerleader? Good for you that you saw a great race. The "cow pasture" is also paying 100k to win tonight. What are your tracks paying tonight, and when do they ever pay nearly that much? It also drew 2 or your best cars. I'll put the "cow pasture" above any of your facilities, even the great "Speed Palace".

FiXXer is probably the most reasonable Posse fan on HH. In fact I've had to call him out for being too hard on fellow "Pennsyltuckians"

But you already apologized, so everything's cool....

I didn't have the opportunity to watch last night. Glad to hear some improvements were made. Hope that IF they come back in future years they listen to your suggestions and make some more improvements. I believe making the track wider with more banking has to be the top priority. Not sure how realistic that would be.

WoO did a good job of fixing the things they could the second night. They staged the cars a lot closer for qualifying and the track prep was on point! Maybe the track is wide enough? I would be curious to see if the track lasted a little longer if it was a 410 only show or a smaller second division.

After watching the videos from night 1, I thought the track was too tight and god himself couldn't have convinced me otherwise. But after watching last night's action, I think maybe I was wrong. I think a little more banking and a little more moisture would do the trick but I wouldn't mess with it too much because that was some damn good racing. Reminded me a lot of Trail-Way here in PA. It's a tight bullring with a similar long straights/tight corner layout. It's a 1/3 mile and it's banked a lot more. The banking is the same on the straightaways as it is the corners. It's a blast to watch 410's there. Brent Marks actually won a race there a few years ago so I wasn't suprised to see him run so well at Nashville.

Title says it all man...... just watched hot laps more like cold laps cause it was a mess.

Why would they even think this would be good or work? any takers????

flattrack quads would be faster and a better show big piece of shit for sure

I just watched the feature video.  I have seen worse WOO shows.  Yes the track was small. flat and narrow, but  these are pro drivers and a challenge is good to see who comes out first.  You can whine about every race.  There was passing so what do you want?  The challenge is to do the best you can as a driver and crew  with the variety of tracks they throw at you.  They did that.  Now go back to your basement and whine some more.

This thread makes me laugh. Watched both nights on dirtvision. No, Friday wasn’t the best show but I didnt complain and completely throw a hissy fit and start a thread bashing the WoO. They got it figured out and Saturday night was 180 degrees different. Sure it still rubbered up in the feature towards the end, but my hats are off the WRG and the WoO for sticking their heads out there and trying something! It’s crazy how quick people are to be so negative. The WoO could run 1,000 shows absolutely flawlessly then mess the next one up slightlyand get raked over the coals.

I went both nights. Friday was rough, but that was to be expected. I’ve never gone to the first iteration of any event be it racing, sporting, musical or anything else that goes to smoothly. There was a steep learning curve to be dealt with and everyone involved did as well as can be realistically expected. I thought Saturday was a night and day difference. The racing all night was much better and the crowd was into it all night. I was shocked by the size of the crowds. I thought Friday’s was good for the size of the grandstands, and I was blown away by Saturday’s. Overall I was happy with the experience and am glad that I went and actually got to see some racing instead of all the rain everyone has had to deal with.

Just curious why some are saying good for the WoO to step into a new market considering the risk. Really, is there risk,? Doesnt the local track pay the sanction fee and absorb all risk. What did the WoO have at risk other than some pride in no one showed up? Should we be more please the local track invited the WoO at their risk of loosing a lot?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Bill Butthole on the pole tonight at Nashville

You sir are a classless loser.  Bring that mouth to Wisconsin in a couple weeks and see how fast it gets closed for you.

Makes sense to me....

Even at the most prestigious tracks, sometimes the pole sitter is too fast & the race is boring. Nothing you can do about it, nature of the beast....

"They improved the time trial running but still took way to long. I hate them anyway and see as a waste of time my opinion".... Kind of agree on Time Trials. Although I wouldn't say I "hate" them, they can be kind of boring. Best thing is that you can familiarize yourself with the cars & drivers if you don't already know them. I would be OK with random draw for starting position in heats, maybe with passing points, or maybe even full inversion based on points, like the "Good Ole Days" on dirt tracks
