I have to say the Thunder stuff is good. His victory lane interviews can be painful. LOL

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Terry(sp.) Baltes one time Eldora announcer and son of Earl....He was good..." He's a full time racer".... I am thinking he came up with some of the Driver's nicknames....He used to announce Jack Hewitt and say "he rides em high cause he's not afraid to die"....Always liked when he would announce the drivers before the race

My favorites in California are Troy Hennig, Gary Thomas, Bobby Gerould, and Johnny Gibson for the Outlaw shows!

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

How can you guys even debate this...I've heard some real good ones but Johnny Gibson is by far the best. Knows everyone's sponsors like he knows the back of his hand. Can make paint drying exciting...and he will actually say "rubber down" and tell it like it is. I've had a few conversations with him and he sure is a class act. I would listen to him all day call sprint car races.

I'll take . Scott Dalisio , Brian Holburt, Troy Hennig, and Johnny Gibson. I feel I've always been well informed and entertained by all of them.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

my favorite announcer was and will always be former san jose speedway and kerney bowl mic jockey kenny "chopsticks" takeuchi. i grew up listening to kenny at san jose speedway and there never was a dull or boring moment with him on the air. kenny always made the race event fun. even better than listening to kenny is the fact that he is still around and i can call him my friend.

as far as listening to someone call a race that you can't see, you can't beat johnny gibson as he gives you more info than you can process. he keeps you informed.

gary gerould was a good announcer at west capitol and bobby gerould and troy hennig make a good team.

since i am in the pits more than in the stands i don't often get to hear a lot of the PA announcers at the tracks i go to.

to indy and beyond!!
