Just to clarify all of this.... I had nothing to do with any of this. I was just mentioned in the post and things have went out of hand. I think some people are confusing who is posting what. I have nothing against Everham being here the more cars the better. I never once mentioned anything about egos and never will. I just don't want peolple thinking I said things that I didn't. One person was just posting that a lower budget team can still race and be competitive.

vanh, dirtracer74 and maybe ... Grove ??
I will address all of your concerns at this same time.
American dictionaries definition of 'their's' 'Belonging to someone of unknown gender'
Now ...if that person is of unknown gender, obviously they must be unknown in ANY form to the speaker (or, in this case writer.)
If I had written 'his' you would have a weak case ...but a case ...However, since you have boldly demanded the end of your 'confusion' this should help you immensely understand I was not referencing 'Ray.'
As far as my writing ANYTHING about 'Ray's' 20K engine. Please give us an example.
You will note, not ONE of my posts are either deleted or edited so it should be no problem to find it and cut and paste that post it here for all to read.
Grove:
IF (big IF) you are writing about me... I never wrote anything about either Evernham or his current wife 'suck' ??
Some of you (not necessarily Grove) are attempting to influence the readers of your posts into believing your fantasy's .... by posing questions to me about things I never wrote.

The Local Lap Motorsports TV program on Fox Sports Network. featured the 305 sprinters from K ville on one of their recent broadcast, which showed Evernham in action. Check out the webb site www.thelocallap.com for details on shows.

The Midwest 305 Sprint Car series was started to have an economical way to race sprint cars. Our rules are simple and are made to keep the cost of racing as low as possible. Attempts to get Knoxville to keep certain high cost engine componants out of the 305 rules were rejected. The MW305SCS keeps its rules the same for 2 years. We have several teams race at Knoxville with some sucess, but we know our engines are inferior to the K'ville regulars. We just want to have 1 set of rules so everyone can race affordably.

My little post turned into this monster with everything from hate talk to like-the-guy and all stops in between. I was just pointing out how cool it was that one of the 2 or 3 greatest crew chiefs ever in napscar was now in our sport and doing ok. Plus he was doing great things for dirt racing.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Hey, RA
I dont normally do this, actually my PR folks wanted to do it for me. But then I would be hiding behind my people like a person who only uses initials and has inaccurate information hides behind a computer.
The respect of the sprint car community is extremely important to me, wich is another reason I chose to respond personally.
First order of business, My 305 sprint is a 2003 J&J that I traded a motorcycle for. It had a race saver 305 in it and came with spare parts. I pruchased a motor for thr Knoxville 305 series from a guy in Ill. for 7k and the first night we ran it blew up.
Lee at Ostrich was kind enough to take the junk I brought him and build me a decent motor for far less than the 20k you speak about. , actually less than 1/2 that.
I ran the Ostritch engine one time at the USAC non wing show. Before that I was fortunate enough for a great guy named Bruce Clark to let me drive his car #66 4 times
The race saver series is a spec series with tight engine controls and complete inspections pre and post race so you can spend all the money you want but the engines all make the same power. By the way I am using the used engine that came with the car when I traded for it.
I dont read my press clippings and dont claim to be a sprint car driver. I have always loved the dirt and have a passion for sprint cars. I enjoy driving that 305 as much as anything I have ever done.
I take offense to your claims of buying my way. I went in to the 305 thing with a promise of not doing that. I work on my own car, we take the used parts from Erin's car to support mine and have a blast hanging out with the people we race with.
I know I am not as good of a driver as most of the people race with, but at 53 years old with 6 sprint car races under my belt, am I really supposed to be? You say I embarrassed myself, well I would have to disagree. I will always rather dare to experience something new than waste life and do nothing. I would however be embarrassed if I found myself so afraid to fail that I didnt try.
Second order of business, Erin's 410. Yep, I did get the best motors and cars I could get. Paul Kistletr did a great job for us and we had Maxim chassis. But I believe both Maxim and Kistler are availabe to everyone at the same price and there were several of each at the Nationals.
I hired Guy Forbrook and Ray Brooks to maintain the car. Even though Guy and Erin never hit stride on set up I feel that Guy put together two of the nicest race cars at the track. Guy was worth what he was paid, even though your numbers there arent correct either.
Our goal for 2010 was to make the A main and we did that. I can tell you that was as big to me as winning the Daytona 500.....know what that feels like? ..I didnt think so.
All in all our season at Knoxvillle was one of the most fun and rewarding race seasons that I have had in my 35 years in motorsports. We met some great people , made some great new friends and learned alot. We accomplished a difficult goal as a family. I got to drive around Knoxville raceway in a sprint car,and Erin is now the only lady driver to make the nationals TWICE . By the way we flew commercial by using my frequent flier points from ESPN and we drove to the Nationals in Aug.
As I said my sprint car friends are important to me and I wanted them to have the facts. I will continue to support sprint cars, dirt racing and grass roots racing in general.
I invite people to come speak with Erin and I when they see us at the track. I invite you to come meet me as well anytime you want to get the correct facts about our racing team.
You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but you need to be responsible and make sure your informaionm is correct.
Best Regards
Ray Evernham

Thanks for posting personally and setting the facts straight. I think it's great that you love sprint car racing and are having a blast doing it! Don't let the naysayers get you down ... jealousy is a terrible quality that unfortunately brings out the worst in some folks...
Here's wishing you even better luck and success in 2011!

Ray,
I appreciate almost all sprint car drivers that come to the track no matter the experience level, as I would love to do the same for heck even a single lap. As Phil stated there will always be haters.
I also appreciate your support for dirt track and sprint car racing.
Hope to see you around Knoxville in 2011!
Thanks!
Jeff S.

Ray probly meant to tag/qualify that statement by including the phrase "...with my clothes on..."

Sure we've all seen better ... but Erin is a very attractive lady. Care to post a pic of your significant other? On second thought it's likely busy with your negative posts ... so maybe you could type left handed for a quick photo op?

R.E.
Mea ma'xima culpa.
I was much too harsh in my earlier postings and thus I apologize.
I just feel sorry for the 'little' guys that are trying to find enough gas money to get their 305's to the track let alone pay for fuel, pit passes etc. so..... like booze or worse ..... that caused my mouth overtake my brain.
That said, I at least did keep it about racing and did not get into your personal life nor comment about non racing 'things' (which) I will defend your right to live your life as you wish to my death fully respecting your private life
Correct, I will never win the Daytona 500 (nor care too) as I don't even watch NAPCAR anymore as it is just this side of WWE IMHO.
I never much go around the 'big names' after the races .... I enjoy hearing the 'also rans' stories and recap of their repective nights as they deserve attention too .......
So, I will tell you here:
Best of luck to your team/s in sprint car racing in 2011@ Knoxville or wherever. That is written and spoken with all sincerity.

For you guys that don't think Ray is not into sprint car racing and knows how to work his butt off at the track.
Ah..... take a look at my World final vid or my Brooke video.
Brooke drove Ray's car at the finals and Ray was there every minute helping work on the car and pushing it with his atv. And it was F-ING cold and wet.
He could of been at home watching it on tv.
No! he was there doing what he could to help the teem do there best.
By the way Ray, we get to see Brooke race quite abit here in the midwest, IRA, Knoxville, so on.
Now I have to tell ya, he would LOOK VERY GOOD in that no. 98 car for the 2011 season!?????!!
