So, how many guys are going to run ALL of the races?

To the best of my knowledge we have:

Spencer, Sheridan, Cardey, Miller, Williams, & Pombo.

Anybody know for sure about these guys?

Ford, Hansen, Brown, and Bates.

Goes to show everybody, Now there will only be 10-15 cars on a sat night, I just can't wait!!! yeah right...... Off to Ventura to see alot more cars and just as good racing!!!!!!

Bit of an exaggeration don't you think.

I'm sure it will start off in the low to mid 30's and then probably dip down into the high 20's. Still enough cars to put on a good main event. Other than Civil War, not to many injected sprint car clubs in Cali are drawing that big of car counts these days. Even the VRA's numbers have dropped off . If you look at the numbers from last season, you will notice that most nights Perris & Ventura drew about the same amount of sprinters.

Bottom line, support a short track on Sat night and have a good time.

I would not be suprised if Pombo misses a few CRA races to run a few "bigger money" mid-west shows. Crossno has always put up big money for Cory and then Weir last year to run ISW and select TNT shows.

Perris will draw the best average car counts for CRA. Most of the teams that are not running the "full" season most likley means not towing to AZ, or Nor. Cal. Lucky for me my home track is the best of them all.........PAS! ! ! !

One more time - thanks ImissAscot for a good post, its fun hearing from the fans about their picks for the new season. This board needs more of this type thread.

The PAS drew 30 sprint cars to the open practice today. Many cars I had never seen before. David Cardey, testing his backup car, was the only one there who had been in the top 20 of points last year. Point being, this is NOT an early indication of low car counts at The PAS for this season. See you there.

Oakhurst. You forget that most nights there are seniors also running at Ventura. 87 sprintcars registered last year plus 43 seniors for VRA. Lots of injection! The senior division went down to the last lap last year and was very exciting to watch.

You are correct about the seniors. Was not talking about support classes though. Was just comparing the VRA pro car count to the cra car count. Pretty close on most nights. Please don't turn this into a Perris vs Ventura debate. I like both places, and i support both places, many times a season. Especially when you consider i have a ten hour round trip to the PAS & a 8 hour round trip to Seaside Park. Just trying to point out the numbers to ole chinagirl. Guess he must have spent too much time with Rob's crack pipe. He obviously has a burr up his ass about Perris. Thats fine. Go to Ventura or Victorville or anyplace else. However, if you're going to talk shit at least have your facts straight. Of course this is a message board, so why bother with the facts.

Details ! hell Mike you know i can't remember what happened 10 min. ago let alone yesterday. really the only reason i was there was to see Jimmy Wilson but he was a noshow there were about 30 sprints and about 10 late modles and various other "race cars" I'd say 1/2 the sprints were 360s and you know how I love 360s lol.Cardey was fast while shaking down the back-up car Shutie was real good and poor Esponoza dumped the moosemoble in turn 1.well the ol memory is now totally done gotta watch NY whip those pesky Pats.

still not sure about the Copper are you comin to the PAS opener?

Well its halftime and the Giants are definitely in the game! I don't have a dog in this fight, just hope it ends up being a good game.

Saw Jeff's footage. Ouch, bad deal for the moose guys. Rip's boy did look pretty racy, as did Chad Boat. Glad they used the same paint scheme on the sprinter as they did on the midget. Nice looking ride.

Definitely wont be down Friday. Got to save my vacation days for midget week, oval nats, western world, etc etc. Probably see you on Sat.

Oak, cash-in a few vac days and come to the Mini Gold Cup. The diversity will do you good. Rob is making the trip and you can ride up w/ him. There will be beer stops in Ontario, El Monte, Castiac, Gorman, Grapevine, Bakersfield, Harris Ranch, Santa Nella, Modesto, Stockton, Galt, Sacramento, Natomas, Woodland, Yuba City and finally Chico. Questionable companion....great racing. It will be worth it

sorry iluvbush but I'll miss the mini again this year (CRA @ the PAS) but I'm planning on making the 2 day GSC show at Chico in July and maybe the WoO show in Tulare this month.not sure if Oakhurst could make as far as Modesto from his home in the Fresno area without a beer stop I think he's still trying to get over Damion winning the Chili bowl and the Chargers beating the Colts on the same weekend.

ROB

PS that town in Texas found its idiot his name is Johnny Sutton

Been to the mini a few times over the years. Always enjoy my trips to Chico. Quite honestly my vacation days are all shot for this season. Cant see dropping anything from my schedule. Chili Bowl, Copper on Dirt, Midget Week, Oval Nats, Western World. Love Chico, but it will have to be a Sat GSC show this year. I do like your travel plan though lol.

Let me know if you're going to do the WoO Tulare deal. Sometimes there is a ticket or two available in the group i sit with. That is if you can handle sitting in turn one.

Hey "Crackhead", ya better come on down to the Copper. Your one of the hardcores. Wouldnt be the same w/o you in attendence. If it will tempt you at all, we can give you a giant straw so you can snort up the starting line in turn 4. Its all pure white powder ya know wink . What the heck else ya gonna do that weekend? Jump in someones ride and get down there!

Oak: Booked my flight to be there 4 Thursdays practice too. Will you be there or will you get in Friday? Due to my 'bug' I caught at the CB, we failed to hook up as planned. Call me when you arrive. I stay in Mesa when in town. Buzz me and we will see about hooking up there.
