Fred Rahmer? Fed Durst??

Macri went home early. Sandvig/Jeffrey won't be there. Reutzel is making the lengthy tow to Skagit.

Hopefully the track holds up but sadly I get the feeling Ford 97 is probably right.

It has been in the 90's and dry and I thought they did a good job under the circumstances.  I like the way they do the invert and the racing was pretty good.  I'm about 4 1/2 hours northeast of Husets and am watching from home.  Even with one class it ran a bit past midnight due to the number of cars but that isn't unusual with the large car count.  The crowd looked good for a Wednesday and I'm looking forward to tonight two.

You're too kind of a guy. Stan, the outlaw show at Knoxville on Friday night at had about the same number of 410's. Plus they had their 305 class whatever it's called and they were done before 10:00 much bigger track on top of it they didn't waste time on beer and weenie breaks just ran the races and got the people out of there

With all this crying, maybe it would be better if Chucky had kept it and we had no racing at all. What a bunch of babies. Be happy we have great racing.

If its so damn bad, don't go. Play pickel ball instead.

I know many people are concerned with the amount of time they spend at a race track, especially if they live near by, need to work and are just fitting in a race  between things. I live so far from SprintLand that my visits are ALWAYS leisure. The drivers have nothing else to do but race so I know a wait may be annoying but when you get $5000 to finish last I think they will be more than happy to wait 30 minutes to gets first place money at most places for starting the race. Drivers are there for the money with nowhere they would rather go than the pay window.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Thank you, things could be so much worse. I've been a fan for such a long time, and i believe some sprint car fans are just the worse fans ever anymore. Never happy, always whining. Mostly about track prep.

If its so bad, stop being a fan. go watch soccer.

I don't like the way some soccer fields are prepared, like when the grass isn't cut short enough. Other times when it's too wet the players lose their footing.

I'm a retired night owl and sleep in until 8 or 9 almost every day.  Races that go past midnight aren't unusual up here in Minnesota where most tracks were run 6-8 Stock Car and Modified classes.  I have shot photos at races that went past midnight many times and had to drive home and pull in to driveway after sunup.  I don't travel to races anymore as nobody in my family is game to do it anymore.  Tried to get my son over on Saturday for Husets but he's going to a metal show.  He got into helping my son in law at their festival gigs and stopped going on racing trips.  The wife won't go and the cats don't care so it's easier and fits the retirement check to subscribe and watch from home.  With this air quality thing and 90 degrees and health issues that works best for me.

No, I don't think there's anyone out there that wants chucky back  including me. But I also think there's a lot of people that don't like the race. getting done. late at night. And having to sit in the stands and watch them farm the track. We are all seen on Thursday night. How the races can be ran and get. People out of there at a very nice time. They all know too that there are things that can't. Be controlled. crashes and such. That's why they should keep in mind. and try and keep all the other stuff at a minimum and not waste time. They really should listen to these people that are. complaining. they are true race fans. but these are people that aren't going to come back to the races. once they get fed up with it, they're done. They're not going to return Maybe they will go play pickel ball. And spend their money there. It  would really be sad if that's what it comes to. But by the looks of the attendance at some race tracks, that's already started to happen. And I hate to say it. but I've been going to Sprint car racing. For over 60 years. and I'm one of them that's fed up with this BS of farming the tracks. and sitting there till all hours of the night. And yes, I have found out there are other things to do. And it saddens me to tell you that I have. stopped going to a lot of sprint car races. And I know a lot of other people that are in the same boat that I am.

I've said for years that ever since social media became a thing it seems like everyone is trying to find something to complain about.  It's almost like people think if they don't find something to complain about they're not paying attention.

But in the case of this thread, I don't think that's the case.  Not sure if you go to the races there but something is definitely different compared to 10-15 years ago.  The majority of the responses here are positive in my opinion.  Nobody is claiming to have the answer, nobody is throwing Tod under the bus, nobody is claiming they're going to boycott the track.  I think people who live near the track are happy it's there but also know something is different.  I don't know Tod at all but he's done a fantastic job with Jackson and just bringing Husets back.  Like I said before I'm certain he's going to figure out what's going on and fix it.  I have no reason to think he won't.

Without scraping up $1k to travel there solo and spend four nights it was just another televised race.  if I don't like what I'm seeing I change the channel.  No sense getting upset about a show that got hit by a ran delay running 90 minutes late.  That's what happens when there are rain delays.  The Husets setup with that many cars going in and out of the pits and the extra work is going to spow things down.  I never got down there much but it was enough times to know that if I didn't get a room I was going to roll in the driveway around 5am.

I want say they did great job with the track with hot weather/wind/rain.  Do the track prep before the feature and adding some water worked out well.  Yes it slows down the show but worth it in my eyes.  We spent 4 nights out there and had a blast.  Can't wait for next year.  Great job by everyone.
