I'm not sure it's ever happened in a Sprint Car race.
However, I will say, Hearn and Tremont have probably passed thousands of cars in the modifieds there over the years, since the shows are handicapped.....but I get your point.
Howie would still rather have big shows there than Albany, he's got full control of the property, better parking and probably twice as many seats to sell.

Yea, its primarily a modified track. I hear the drag strip is more popular...
Side note: I guess folks love to gamble in upstate NY. Last time I was there (Allstars) 50/50 $$ was higher than $7,000 purse for the winner

I second this! As well as another stop at Attica. The facility and racing is too good for the Outlaws to only visit once a year... a weekday nonetheless.

Only track besides Eldora I've been to in Ohio was Attica, & I thought it as great, very racy (Allstars, but a local won... Byron Reed?))
It would be a great place for WoO!

Moberly, MO. That track is almost identical to Mansfield with some massive banking. Promoting there has been poor with recent sprint shows with little advertisements. Facility is so so but good enough for a great event. Would pull a lot of Missouri cars and Knoxville regulars and could have the WAR series as a support. Would be a can’t miss for me. Oh and by the way dump the water to the track too. When that high bank is juiced up the racing is awesome. Rubber down or no cushion results in zero sliders.

I agree with this post. That track is like a crazy lover...... You really have no idea what to expect. The racing can be spectular or boring, but you always start the night with high hopes. I also agree with the need for some stability in the track promotions and track prep.

I'd like to see one at TMS dirt track, but I'd be absolutely down with Salina too. It's a 5 hour trip for me and I've got a daughter that lives in Broken Arrow, so I'd have a place to stay too. I've got a friend who has seen WoO there a couple of times and says it was quite awesome.

I can't find the time or money to see the races they have close to me as it is so my vote is we're good where we're at now up in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. I don't go to Deer Creek so adding that one wouldn't make any difference. No particular reason besides Cedar Lake being 32 miles and they have a two-day show, Deer Creek is over 100 and is similar in size and shape. Jackson has been beyond my reach since it became the motorplex as easy access to PPV without the drive or motel bill has taken precedence over those expensive trips. Norway pretty much tapped out my racing budget this season so we'll try again next year.

I'll throw it ouy there & say The Field in The Great State of Ohio just ask Danny Dietrich & most other drivers that have ever raced there.
Parking would probably be an issue
Gate would be a little higher (I'd pay it)
If there could be an WOO Speedweek in Ohio here is where I would like to see it. Attica, Oakshade, Limaland, The Field & Atomic. 2 of those tracks would be neutral ground. Sorry Fremont & WCS.

I wish I could promote the event and do the track prep. Missouri fans really do love their racing so turnout with mediocre promotions would be relatively easy. Problem is I live two hours away, have no experience, and zero connections. So I’ll probably just remain a spectator. If someone put in some time this could be a track capable of making year end highlight reels. Havent heard much on I-70 lately either but that’s also a track that interests me. I have heard stories but have never been there.

After what happened in River Cities in Grand Forks, I hope it doesn't hinder another two shows next year..Great racing and real close to Winnipeg which has large crowds go to the Forks for the Outlaws yearly..

would love to see them back at Lucas Oil Speedway, been way too long, but I bet ASCS discourages them from scheduling a WoO race there, I think Lucas Oil is a sponsor with the Larson #2 WoO car, so that might entice them to bring them back there.

I am aware of the 2 fence situations at river Cities this summer. But I ask what the fence is supposed to do? Stop cars from entering people areas and both times the fence did just that. Who would have ever guessed a car would nearly clear the back fence on one single pounce? Nobody? So now to be safe ever fence in the WoO circuit should be a minimum 4 ft higher than the one at river cities.
The front fence did not fail. It succeeded at keeping the car on the track. We dont know but maybe getting caught in the fence was a better result than tossing the car back into the front stretch into race speed traffic.
I dont have all the details but to me these are non issues. Learn from them and built safer by I dont see either as a failure. Jmo

dont disagree at all with what you said, just relaying what i have heard through the grapevine...take it for what it is. i do think that the front stretch wall/fence needs some attention. it is only a matter of time before something goes completly through that fence. its kinda frail looking, compared to a place like fargo, for instance
