If you want to talk about tracks with nice facilities, good fan experiance and excellent signt lines you need to head west of Central PA...The farther west you go the better they get...

The sight lines at Selinsgrove is enough to keep me away...Atleast I can see 3/4 of the track when I got to Williams Grove...

Te edit button for this website is a third world experience...sorry about the typos, my iPad typing skills are ups on blocks, the WoO work area was moved to the pits halfway thru the event and the local Polaris dealer was closing in 15 minutes and could not deliver me a fully dressed mule.

Easy solution. Copy your original post, hit edit, paste original post, fix it. I can't type either, doing this with 2 fingers, about 6 repairs to these 3 sentences already....

The one race I saw at Selinsgrove was pretty good. A few years ago at Speedweek, Hodnett came from pretty far back in the pack to win it.

The track I won't go back to is Hagerstown.... slow & one groove when I went there

I'm from PA, living in PA, and supporting PA racing...but at this point I'm only proud of the latter.  Maybe Selinsgrove had a bad night of track prep?  I've only been there for a handful of races there, but I'd go back in a heartbeat.  I'm 15 minutes from Lincoln and 20 minutes from Williams Grove.  I've seen unbelievably good, and unbelievably bad races at both.  I'm going back.  It's dirt track racing, that's part of it.  I've seen a couple of guys named Donn(y)ie make terrible tracks look brilliant.  If you hate it that much, go watch fucking Nascar.  I still do from time to time, maybe you'll like it?  At least we wont have to read bitching about how a dirt track wasn't perfect every night.

Agree...I've been watching/following dirt racing since'64 and don't recall ever hearing the amount of complaints about track prep than I have the past couple of years. Could it be better, sure...could ticket prices be lower... would be nice, but cost of everything is going up. This past week at the Grove, Monteith wins from 9th and Westhafer (sp?) 2nd from 6th. In the make up race Kreitz started around 20th and finished top 5 I believe. Can't say that's follow the leader. Many times I've watched great racing mid-pack if there's no battle up front.  A great race doesn't always have to be for the lead. I'll continue to drive 5 minutes to Williams Grove, 30 minutes to Lincoln, and 45 minutes to Port Royal to support dirt track racing. If others don't we could soon be looking at a new housing developement where the Grove once stood and NO racing!!!

I just know what I saw.... poor track prep even though it rained???? They took 5 hours to do that???? LMAO... Using the comment "nobody forced anyone to race" shows that you are not much of a racer. When you pack up and head to the the track, you expect some sort of effort was also put forth by the speedway to provide a "decent " place to race. That did not happen. It did cost a lot of money for many teams for broken parts due to the effort they put forth. The place sucks ass.

To say they put forth no effort is a complete assanine statement. WTF do you think the grader and push trucks were doing? They had them out at every opportunity to deal with the wet track conditions. They had too much rain, period. It sucks but it happens sometimes. The most screwing around and even worse race I've seen this year happened one week earlier down Rt. 35. The common denominator was weather but I guess 1 track gets a mulligan while the other doesn't.

Not sure where you saw in his (Aaron Ott) Facebook that he is not going back.  Someone else said it and he defended the track and said it was the weather.  If I'm wrong, please show me but don't bash the guy for something he didn't say.

John KileyI'm never going back

When he won there earlier this year, AO said SG was his favorite track and the raciest 1/2 mile track in the area because you can usually run any grrove and pass cars. That's the way Selinsgrove usually is but the keyboard experts that come once a year still feel the need to bash the hell out of the place for one bad night in which they were dealt a bad hand by mother nature. Such great fans!
