Just because someone doesn't know the inner workings of a newspaper, does that make them a clueless idiotic tool...? :/

When one is starting their post with, and I quote: "Wait for it, DEADLINE ...... REALLY????," they shouldn't be telling anyone how to run a newspaper. It's a surprisingly time sensitive industry and I'm very familiar with the pains of writing on deadline. Not saying anyone is an clueless idiot nor am I sure how you came to that conclusion, but I'm also very familiar with the complaints regarding lack of coverage. Unfortunately, it usually boils down to the fact that coverage is determined by the most likely to garner good readership, in which case a support class would get little to no coverage. It's the hard reality of it - not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but there's a limit to space and it must be used efficiently.

Elliott does a fine job convering the local sprint car scene and I welcome his views/opinions. The Sprint Car Unlimited podcast on Wednesdays were a great idea and he goes the extra mile to provide as much information as he can as quickly as he can.
Can't wait to hear Rahmer on this Wednesday talking about his sons, the Black Bandit Stevie Smith, and of course, the Speedweek race at Path Valley!!!

My Mother was a certified english teacher...My punishment for wrong doings was to write an essay about it...Needless to say, anything less than an A effort resulted in a rewrite...
I own my own service business...I'm the best gas fireplace tech in a top five per capita market in the nation...If you desire a ride along program, your more than welcome...
If gators doesn't want my critisism, he's more than welcome to say so and I'll ignore it moving forward...Till then, I'll keep offering up my opinion whether you, or anyone else, agrees with it...

Hey thanks for the info on your Mom punishing you. She should have taught you how ignorant it is to call someone out on a public forum for the hard work they put in to make a living. Sorry Stan, your wrong on this one, no matter how great of a fireplace tech you are.

People are free to criticize, offer opinion as they see fit. Believe me, I have a thick skin. This is nothing compared to walking into an NFL locker room and having Ed Reed or someone of that caliber get mad at you for what you wrote or a question asked.
Part of the gig.

It's not like I posted anything here that I wouldn't tell people in person...
It's a forum to post your opinion and I'm simply posting mine...

You missed the perfect day for the ride along program...Worked a half day in the field and now heading to costco to get more parts bins...Was hoping that you would be there to tell me that I'm stacking them wrong in the Super Duty... :/

I'm not a huge fan of gators, thus "I" choose to not read. But, I do appreciate the fact he is writing/discussing sprint cars--we need more.

I have no problem with anyone's opinion. It's good to hear different views on different topics.

Jeremy, that's what happens when you try to reason with a Baltimore Raven!! Stick with the Steelers and you'll be fine!!
Just kidding. I enjoy your work. Reminds me of the good ole days with Bob Chorpenning's sprint car column in AARN each week. I looked forward to reading that every week for "the scoop". Keep up the good work!

There is a direct relationship to text percentage and advertising percentage. You simply can not write as much as you want in the space available, it becomes a very delicate process for a writer to keep in these confines and relay all the information. Deadlines are the newspaper industry they are true and defined ! With consolidation at newspapers those deadlines have been pushed back more and more for the print product. I respect the coverage and wish we would do more, I think they pretty much knock us out of the park in local race coverage. Great work Mr. Elliott !
