I hope the ASCS schedules at CMS and XX when the dates overlap....

ASCS can't rely as heavily on US36 in 2014 if drivers won't race there.   With the exception of the Natioal stop, they didn't have more than 15 cars there the other 4 nights.  With LA out, that leaves XX, Valley, CMS, and Moberly to choose from.  Can they schedule 4-5 nightd in each place and insure they get 20-24 cars per night?

I may have missed it. Why won't "drivers race there"?

I saw a few races there last year with 16 car fields. Sure. It would be nice to have 20-24 cars to create a "B" for the fans but the racing that I saw was great. Five or six top notch racers each night and plenty of capable racers geting it on mid pack.

I will be the first to admit I am a certified ASCS supporter and proud of it! I am also a certified supporter of all forms of motorsports. For the ones not familiar with the history of RacinBoys, we have been doing a show called "Track Talk" on Sports Radio 810 WHB in Kansas City for 16 years. It's a 50,000 watts station that reaches 6 states in the Midwest. During the course of that time, we (I) have had strong opinions about tracks and promoters in those regions, that will never change! This isn't the first time people have disagree with my opinion, and that's ok, it's just the opinion of one person...nothing more!

RacinBoys has and always will cover ALL forms of open wheel racing, just look at our home page. At any one time you'll see ASCS, WoO, ASCOC, USAC, POWERi, WAR and yes WoW back in the day. The list of series, tracks and motorsports events we have covered is long over the last 16 years. Again, I promise that will not change!  We put drivers personal press releases up no matter what series they run with. Let's be clear, RacinBoys has and always will support LA Raceway and local racing around the KC area. I just don't believe this idea is for the betterment of 360 racing in this area.

I have worked hard over the course of the last 10 years to bring back the popularity of sprint car racing around the KC area. This area was a hot bed for open wheel racing in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. AJ Foyt won his first USAC Midget race here in 1957! For 5 years I inducted many an open wheel drivers into our local (CARB) HOF. My point, I would hate to see the growth momentum for sprint car racing slow down because of a feud between series and promoters. The fact is, there isn't enough 360 cars for two series in this region. Also, is it good for racing when the the purse is cut to $150 to start...is that progress or is that taking a step backwards?

With respect as I listen to all the broadcast as I can. Did you not make a few comments against the WoO Finals race as compared to the Yuma race you guys had coming up on the same weekend? As to mentioning purse cuts, what valid agrument is there when ASCS cut their purse struture?

Larry Hol named ASCS Warrior Region Director

Posted on: December 3rd, 2013 by rb_admin

By Bryan Hulbert, ASCS PR (Tulsa, OK) — The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region will be under new leadership in 2014 as Larry Hol has been chosen to lead the Missouri arm of the ASCS Nation. Randy Combs, who saw the transition from W.O.W. to ASCS Warrior as the Series Director since 2009, will remain with the ASCS Warrior Region to oversee tech inspection, as well as be the eyes and ears for Hol in the pit area.

According to posts by Hol and series official Jerry Jenkins on the Warrior Region’s Facebook feed, dates for the 2014 season have already been inked, including three trips to Randolph Country Raceway. The remainder of the schedule is on track to be released in early January, 2014.

The 2014 season will mark the fourth year of operation for the Speedway Motors Warrior Region under the ASCS banner, and fifteenth for the Warrior brand in the state of Missouri. For official news, updates, and information on the ASCS Nation, log onto http://www.ascsracing.com.

Well, I guess somebody has to check the front wings - tough job, what does that pay?  Smile
