For all the fervor in attacking Eck for it, why not actually go do something about that which you have so much conviction for.....
I won't defend drinking and driving. I also won't act like I am a superior person to those that do it either. Of the onlookers at any dirt track race, how many do you think are getting behind the wheel afterwards with alcohol in their system?
Seems you have quite a quest in front of you...
Also - the guy went and did a month in jail for it so the condescending statements of "grow up" or "grow a pair" are really self ingratiating. He acknowledged his error and served his time. Was set to pay his fines and serve his probation before they flipped the script AFTER he served his time and changed the terms of his probation.

By his own hand he wrote that his probation was to be served either in IA or IN (if my memory is correct). He is CHOOSING to not do that (which was part of his original sentence).
Once your are sentenced, it's over, unless you do something yourself to violate the terms of the agreement (which he has by choosing to leave the state of IN or IA (whichever he chose).
It continues to amaze me the amount of people without common sense on this message board (and overall throughout our country). If you are convicted of a crime (in this case DUI), you have to deal with the consequences (jail time, fines, probation, etc.). Kevin is choosing to pretend it never happened, and that is quite sad as the day will come where "I'm not drunk (or high) enough to get in an accident and kill someone" where exactly that will happen.
Kevin needs to grow up before it's too late and he ruins SOMEONE ELSE's lives, not just his own. If he could live in a vacuum and his decisions not affect anyone else, then fine, get drunk and high all he wants. However, we live in the real world where his actions affect other people the minute he decides to get behind the wheel of a car.
I myself have lost my license (when I was much younger), for being a stupid kid that liked to drive fast and disobey the laws (pretty much all of them). Luckily for me (and others on the road), I grew up and realized that my driving affected EVERYONE on the road and not just me.
I'm not saying that people don't drink and drive (they do every day unfortunately). I'm saying Kevin needs to take some personal responsiblity for the first time in his life.
