Remember that weekend that Jesse and Ballou went nose to nose at T.H.A.T., eventually was runner-up to Robert, but man what a race. One of the best I've seen in person.

Remember that weekend everything was rained out in Indy, so we drove to LaMonte....ole Frankenstien was runnin good that night. Torched the field....Brown had apparently "not had a bleeder in the right rear". Was a damn good night....miss you Jesse. Don't really feel like being at a sprint car race and not seeing you giving it your all, but we're gonna celebrate in you and Daniels honor. Love you both!

Remember last Saturday night when Robert Ballou climbed up on the cage after winning at Wheatland and was wearing a RIP Jesse firesuit with a big Rocket on the front of it. Remember how it warmed the hearts of thousands of Missouri fans and left smiles on all the faces. Nice touch Ballou...thank you.

I do remember that one time at XX when it looked like Jesse wasn't gonna be able to get to the lead..... but then the Green came out...hahahaha

Remember 1 month ago....to the day....Today, we continue to press on and honor Jesse like never before. Still isn't real, still hard to keep the tears from pouring out on a daily basis. Only Jesse knows how much we feel. Love ya Lester!

Remember that weekend, jesse's last "real" time at Eldora....qualified poorly, ran the B, finished 2nd (but closing on Bud), then started near the back to finish 3rd! To Darland and Coons Jr....the one track he definitely wanted to win at....(oh yeah, and the next day.....well, thats for another post)

Remember that weekend Jesse was in Bernie's #71 Indy Race Parts Eagle at Paragon (??) , think it was a KISS finale....was caught up in a spin in front of him in his heat (tore up shocks, and front suspension I think), started in the back of the C....Top 5 tag the back of the B....finished 5th....Started last row of B (again top 5 tag the A)....finished 5th again....started back of A....stanbrough started on pole, and looked pretty untouchable....Jesse again finished 5th in the A....woulda been nice to see him start a little closer to the front and challenge Jon....was a good night....

Remember that weekend when Jesse ran at Double X, there was only 10 or 12 cars, night was over before 9:30 I think....Jesse tried to make it to Moberly for the WOW race....didn't make it though....but just the idea alone is admirable. Only Jesse Hockett does something, or thinks something like that....

Remember that weekend Jesse flipped hard in the heat race at Manzy, then came from the back of the A to finish 5th....he loved that track, it loved him. Every track loves a TRUE gasser and driver like The Rocket, always on the gas....why lift??

Remember that weekend Jesse ran Benic's 2B up in Gas City....was leading it then I think had Darland get by him in traffic....I remember him picking me up from work that night. He definitely wasn't used to driving a pick-up to track, showing up with seat, helmet, suit....race, then leave....Miss you Jess! Take care of Tyson, and keep fighting for Wayne and Travis.
