After talking with Stanley Reed and others we will run the rules that the SFS used. We will be using the IMCA rules in 2011. This will allow everyone time to change over if they want. Which tracks in Oklahoma run the pure class?

Good call Troy. That is about the best thing for all for the first year IMO and worry about 2011 later.

The bad deal troy about going to IMCA rules is why would a guy build his car to race at 2 tracks when you can run open mod rules and run about anywhere. I plan on racing at your track but not if your heading toward IMCA rules. Its a bunch of stupid rules in my opinion. Some of the rules are okay but if you want a sport mod build one, if you want to run a mod then rev mount pumps ect is what should be aloud. Just my 2 cents.

We have a year to work on the rules. I know there will be pros and cons to all the different rules we could run. My main concern on the rules is to be a track that is compatible with other tracks so that you can race our track as will as others with the same car. Keep the two cents coming, if it don't make cents it won't make a dollar.

JD is up that late probably still taking phone calls for his work. If your looking for a sponsor, he could be yours.

Had a call at 3:30 am from government bunch asking me for "emergency service for some government deal". Told them to Kiss my A$$, afraid it might be the"Fair Grounds" or "Mickeys Bunch", but I'm atni-Politics lately. LOL

All this money going to try to get Tyler another Mod or Colbys Mini so no sponsership at this time. But IF I hit the lotto I'll let you know!

Thanks, what I'm after is to make sure we run the same pure stock rules as the rest of the tracks in the state.

Enid runs pure stock and also they run imca emod rules, just a thought but wouldn't it be nice that all tracks ran the same rules and we can have a state championship, maybe it would help the tracks get back going again. Call me sometime Troy 405-513-2551.

Name a 3 tracks in oklahoma that runs IMCA modified rules. Clinton was going to run IMCA rules but i heard they backed out and are going to run open mod rules. IMCA mod rules in oklahoma will never work in my opinion. If you do your just gonna have a few cars in that class. A guy prob wont pull an hour + to have a car he can only run at that one track.

It only takes one to gamble and take the first and sanction a track and might be like in the 80's and 90's and be a domino effect. If three or more sanction in the state of Oklahoma, then there would be other tracks that wont get on board and the non IMCA cars would have some other place to run as well. For a business man it would be a good move IMO.

Or should I say IMCA,NCRA,SMP,UMP or whatever sanction, maybe it sounded like I was pro IMCA but I am not. Just a fan that likes just about any kind of dirt racing it really does not matter, as long as it is a good show and worth the money too go and see with my family.

My point being no matter what you guys and gals decide on any sanction would be better than open class rules IMO.

Well maybe he should run a class you wont be able to run in and that your gonna have to completely change your car for one track to run there and maybe youll know what im getting at. I guess there are plenty of other tracks i can run at as far as that goes but trying to change oklahoma tracks to IMCA rules good luck with that. Just my opinion though. I run at Troys track until that day comes though. Hes a nice guy and i wish him luck and im sure he"ll make wise business oriented choices.

o wow lol.

On here for just a lil evening read and suddenly I see I am being nominated lmao. Well I appreciate that fellas. But I do hate to deflate such promise - I cannot legally run for public office lol.

Thats funny stuff Dustin. I do miss gettin on here. I still do get on here, but many times type something up and then think better of posting it. Which is probably a mistake - because most of it is not bad in any way, but nonetheless, to run completely counter to earlier/noisier times - I really do enjoy just gettin on here and just reading stuff - as opposed to gettin involved in foolishness.

This track in my own backyard is really starting to peak my interest. My girl, my nephew, and myself will be going out there later in the week to check things out. This will be a great thing for dirt track racing in Oklahoma no matter what. There can never be too many race tracks - and its pretty cool that I live in El Reno so its really close. I look forward to near future developments and the opening of this racetrack. My whole family does. I think all metro area race fans do as well.
